Remember when I said we should just throw things away when she was gone? 😂

LMFAO yea she would literally be digging through anything anyone tried throwing away... i finally would just fill bags when she would go to the bathroom and throw them in the back of my car so she wouldn't even see them...

Thanks for sharing this Nicki! It actually reminds me of similar random crap I had in our houses growing up. I’m literally going through stuff a little at a time in my home now. I get anxiety when I start seeing a pile of old files or bills. My husband had tons of old files from his business, which now because of his health, he’s not doing. My youngest daughter and I went through lots of those old files and either burned some in the fireplace, or tore them up and took them to the trash or recycle. It’s a process, as you said, when you’ve got little ones, and other things you need to get done first. My two youngest grandkids live with us, and their mom (our daughter) too. It’s finding time for me to pick an area, or drawer in my room to go through and give away. I’m ready to get back into going through some more stuff I’ve accumulated already recently 😆 Thanks again for this.

Its definitely a process... my house at the moment is somewhat chaotic mostly laundry that needs to be put away lol... I get so much anxiety in messy spaces it actually helps me to go through a drawer or area and get rid of even a few things!

I didn't grow up with it but my mom became one. When she had to go to a nursing home, we had to go through all of her stuff because she had hidden money in so many places. She had fallen because of all the crap in her small apartment. It was 3 days of hell. I don't ever want to smell that smell again!!! Now I find the hoarding tendencies in myself. I hate it. I get into a mood to get rid of stuff and I capitalize on it. I spend a long time just chucking stuff.

its so stressful dealing with someone else's mess and they will not get rid of stuff... i get afraid i will end up that way so i go crazy and start getting rid of stuff and selling stuff cause i cant live like that!

@@OmfgReallyNicki I was angry at my mom because she got to the point where she wouldn't let anyone in. She was always worried about money but we found tons of clothes that she hadn't even taken the price tags off, boxes of things never even opened and hoards of prescription medicines. That's just a small slice of this. However, there is a lot of other mental issues wrapped up in hoarding behavior. It's so complex. Sadly, I understand the attachment to things all too well.

@@KimberlyLetsGo sounds like my moms house too... i finally gave up and quit even trying to help because she wouldn't get rid of anything and would have to look at everything and then go through all the trash and see if anyone tried throwing stuff she wanted away... she would keep broken stuff and i would tell her its broken you don't need it and she would argue and make excuses... i always would end up so mad i finally just had to say i cant help you with this.Plus she would get so mad if anyone said she was hoarder and just said it was because of various things but it was just bs excuses... i have tried very hard to make it so i don't get sentimental to very many things... i have a few items from the two babies i lost and a few little things from my grandmother but all of it fits in a shoe box... but i still struggle with to much stuff so i continue to try to go through things and be real, will i use this do i need this, do i like this and so on and it helps some but i aspire to be better.

This was amazing except you have experienced such trauma and me too. I recently found CRAPPYCHILDHOODFAIRY and she is so amazing and I relate to it all. I hope you’ll check it out? I know you’re busy but they’re not long videos and because she empathises with what we’ve all been through it’s comforting and positive xx lots of love xx I actually was drawn to your channel doing a cruelty free search and found your Jeffree Starr video xx lots of love 💕🤗🐶🙏🇬🇧 Tracey and Treacle
