Hi Dave, how long does it take from a bud appearing to a full bloom. My local show is the first week of September and I’m wondering if I should set buds now?

Normally 28 to 30 days, so would wait a week. That's from pea bud stage.

I've watched your videos on huge dahlias. Unbelievable. Can someone like me buy such dahlias

Dave. Can I thank you for getting back to me regarding your giant dahlias. I've bought tubers from Hall's on a number of occasions. I was always very pleased with their dahlias. But my problem is that I live in N. Ireland and For the past couple of years Halls will not send plants to N.I. all because of Brexit. I'm 81 years old and as going to Halls it is very difficult for me. Thank you again and may I wish you success in the 2023 shows. I'll continue watching your videos. Frank
