@@traceysallotment2506 Thanks Tracey. I loved your fruit picking recently. In such a wet year that was good. Its been a good tear for fruit, especially the bush fruits.

@@traceysallotment2506 i like to have lots of strawberry. We eat a lot as they come but I always make a point of freezing some for winter. When its horrible and cold its really nice to have warmed bush berries and strawberry with some custard. In the cold months having that fresh taste of summer fruits is so nice. I know its a simple thing fruit and custard but its worth the effort.

@Nejust-Bailes iv froze quite a few so far for jams and compot with natural yougart. I am going to freeze some for berry Crumbles too 😋

​@@traceysallotment2506 look up those fragaria x anansaa. They do taste nice. They produce from late may/June through to autumn outdoors, but I've seen a guy called Phil grow these in his greenhouse as well as outside. In early April the ones in his greenhouse were starting to flower and had green fruits coming. I should have stated this in my video BUT in april these were showing signs of fruit coming under glass.

That is a good point about the netting blocking the light, I don't think people consider that. I think your garden looks amazing. I've never seen loganberries, they look delicious. I've never seen swiss mint before either. I need to try that out with the bicarbonate and milk. I have such a problem with mildew on everything. How often do you reapply it and use it?

@@howdyEB it depends on how much it rains but I aim to do it once a week while the plants are growing......I use my judgement and go with the weather. But you can't apply it daily, that's just too much. Adding a bit of dish detergent to the milk, water and bi carbonate is a good thing also. Its not essential but it enhances the effectiveness of the solution....its best to apply it before the problem occurs while your plant is coming on and also when planted out. It can strike at any time if the weather conditions are right but it is especially important once planted out. Keeping an eye on peas is important too because they can also get mildew problems......as can my beet plants. So I'll be keeping an eye on my spinach beet and beetroot.

And I've been spraying my peas. They are doing ok so far so fingers crossed that carries on.
