Hello, this is the first time I will be trying to grow Arizona Sun Gaillardia from seeds for my front yard. I had no luck with rose bruses because when they are little wild rabbits ate them. But I understand rabbits don't like Gaillardias. Should I start the seeds in small pot first before putting them in the ground? We get full hot sun in the summer here in California. 110F for two months in July and August.

Should I fertilize when they are bulbs and no growth is there yet or should I wait for the leaves to grow to fertilize?

Hi Great channel! Do these continue to bloom flowers throughout the season ?Does cutting the flower promote more blooms ? Thanks for your reply 🌸 🌞

They just bloom once in the season. Cutting does not promote more blooms but it makes sure that next year's blooms are good

Thank you. Do you think these plants will do well if they are planted in coir and kept indoors in 4 to 6 inch pots?

They need direct sun and rich organic soil. They may do well in coir the first year when you buy the healthy bulbs but next year they may not perform well
