I planted the same grape last year in Saint-Petersburg, Russia. So we are waiting the first harvest.
It's been three years and my vine is doing really well. There is going to be a great harvest this year!

I have the same variety of grapes, how big are the grapes themselves, mine don’t get very big, smaller than a small marble, is this a normal sz?
Is the flavor suitable for wine making?
My neighbor makes delicious wine out of mine.
I am interested in purchasing two Valiant grapevines for using their leaves to make mediterranean-style dishes, dolmades and such. I am wondering about the size of the leaves. Are the leaves large?

@@theweekendbeckons9439Thank You for your reply! Let's see what happens next year if my Valiant Grape survives. It got down to -41°C last winter. How cold does it get by you? Usually it won't get this cold. It usually gets down to -38 -39° C.

scott benzing we rarely get down to a true -40 without windchill. We did last winter though and the plant seems okay. Usually we only hit a true -35 or so at our coldest

@@theweekendbeckons9439 Ok, good. I will go forward with my plan. I think it's worth expanding with cuttings. We shall see what happens.
