Growing grapes in pots from cutting until harvest in 240 days | Growing grapes in tropical country.

This time , I growing grapes (Jupiter) from cuttings until harvest.
Bear in mind I live in tropical country , so what I achieve here might take two years if you live in four seasons country. We don't have dormancy , so the vine will keep on growing throughout the years. To induce flowering, I use a special method to force the grapevines into a winter mode, and when the buds breaks, the flowering happens!

Ah, 240 Tropical Days... My Grapes are now 1 year old, waking up cause it's spring. I'll have Big Juicy Himrod and Einset Grapes :) Green and red seedless, in about 120 days. Thanks for reminding me, I have a bunch of Grape leaves in the freezer to stuff! (Pick the ones that are green both sides, when they get too big and go white they're tough.)

@@TonysExploration Check out Muscadine and Scuppernongs they like warmer climates than most grapes, I'm growing two varieties that like Zone 5 and 6, but most are 8-10 Southern US variaties. They're like Grapes the size of strawberries, great for juice and jelly or eating fresh. I even have a Pineapple, Banana and Papaya tree... just in containers indoors till late May lol Should fruit this summer though.

This is amazing. I wasn't sure how bare sticks would work but now I do because of your video. Here in California our grapes are grown even at Vineyards with much more than one bunch of grapes per stalk. They grow beautiful full bunches of grapes. If you are giving plenty of water and fertilizer you really can leave more bunches on the vines but to each their own. With the amount of care you are giving I think you can yield more. Great Job! 🎉😊💚🍃☘️🪴🌱🌵🌿

Yes , I agree. I visited few vineyard in my last visit in Santa Rosa before covid, one in particular is the Russian River Vineyard. California have many vineyards. I would keep more bunch per stalk if this is on the ground. Since is potted, I try to limit the number of bunch given the roots don't have much room to spread.

@@mariom2386 You can drop me an email for fun exchange ideas, I am not qualify enough to charge per hour. I do have experience of running a farm (not grapes, but others crops) If you are growing grape in high humidity, high rain fall, you must grow in a greenhouse...that is a must. Most of the grape does not tolerate wet.. Also taking into the account on the pest management, fertilizer management, pruning method, and watering regime. What shown here is just a garden hobby with a single pot. When you are talking about farm scale, that is completely a different subject.

Thank you for this video. I've been looking on KZread for a while trying to find information on pruning container grapes. My vines are in large containers, I did get grapes the first year, however I did not get any this year (2023). Your video is very helpful in taking care of them as well. Looking forward to trying this and having a successful 2024 grape season.

I didn't do a follow up video on this grape, but you need to do roots pruning and add in 1/3 fresh soil for container grapes after two years.
