i’ve just discovered plant youtube about a month ago.... and it’s safe to say not only has my plant wishlist grown but so has my collection 🤣🤣 I’m so happy I discovered this side of youtube- I have learned so much more and have somewhere to pour my passion 🤩

Facebook groups are also a really awesome place! There’s plant purge groups that are tricking awesome. There’s ones that are specifically $5 and under, $10 and under, etc etc.

I honestly love that you don't know all of the technical terms and names for every single thing, there is so much to learn about plants and growing. It's refreshing to see someone being authentic and open to learning. That's why I watch your videos!

When you’re done with pasta sauce jars or jam jars you can take the label off and wash It out and bam a propagation jar

I have found that small liquor bottles tend to have small mouths and as such are ideal for propagation. Unfortunately these type of bottles can often be found as litter in the city so it’s an excellent way to recycle reuse them. It’s easy to remove labels by pouring boiling water on them and then wiping them off, any excess adhesive can be removed easily with oil, such as spray on oils or even peanut butter.

Helps clean up the local park too, in a small way.

Speaking for the moms here: I know it's a struggle deciding what to do with your "free time" while the baby is sleeping (could I sleep? do some laundry? can I get some work done? I should clean). I was always told to sleep when the baby sleeps and I wished that I had listened without guilting myself. What I'm trying to say (as a mom of one 8 year-old with baby fever) please include Kai (sp) in more of your videos. That way you can more easily schedule rest, work and baby time. Love you soooo much! Keep up the great content. ✌

I watch your videos when I am sad and they make me feel better

Omg! Watching this that’s all I could think of!! It’s SO much worse AFTER having the baby.. and I think it’s at its peak at around 3-4 months post baby (when you’re an official zombie and the energy and novelty of “our new little bundle of joy” is depriving you of any and all sleep you once were getting!!)

I loved all the tips! Definitely update us in a few weeks after they have all started growing roots or getting bigger. It helps to put the process in perspective because I get so impatient waiting for roots to show!

Ah, I am so happy you showed how to prop a monstera adansonii!

If the stem still has tubers on it you can prop that too, even without leaves it will root on the tuner end and leaves will grow from the other end, it’s true yep, just lay it on your growing medium and keep it moist

It's so frustrating when you start losing cuttings at the beginning, but some nodes just aren't ready to root! I have done water, soil, and plastic bag, and water and plastic bag work best for me. Haven't tried sphagnum moss yet

Be careful as they may be confiscated. Some locations don't allow importation of certain, or any, plants. Why? Fear of importation of pests and diseases to native plants.

I have been propagating some of my plants like crazy, and then either throwing them back in the original pot to make it fuller or making a whole new plant, because you can never have too many plants, lol.
