Grow Venus Flytraps Indoors Without "Grow-Lights", Easy LED Artificial lighting Pt2

The lights I use are the Barrina 6500k 40w T8 4ft SHOP lights
The Single Pack: amzn.to/4bM15EB
The 6- Pack: amzn.to/49Fo2ri
The 10- Pack: amzn.to/3SKe557
The adjustable shelf I use is this: amzn.to/3UMgGxW
(I use a 3ft long shelf for 4ft long lights so that plants on the absolute ends of the shelves will always get plenty of light from the overhanging lights)
The cool little "flat-headed" power strip I use: amzn.to/3OMhdMr
And the Smart Plug I use to control my entire setup and light schedule from my phone, anywhere: amzn.to/3SFeaH2
I love this thing so much.
My forceps I use when picking at dead leaves or feeding my plants: amzn.to/3uI68W4
I added a new list of sands at better prices. Skip the first 3 links:
10lbs of the 20-mesh Silica Sand I grow my Venus Flytraps in: amzn.to/4bHvPXn
10lbs of Silica Sand for a better price(plus free shipping):
ebay.us/W1LmYh
50lbs of the 20-mesh Silica Sand I am buying next: amzn.to/3wyIXxR
20 Quarts of the Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss I mix into my Silica Sand: amzn.to/42PoiBH
A Better selection of sands at better prices:
1lb Coarse Silica Sand. I would use more peat in a mix with this one than I usually use, because the grain size on this one is sort of larger than what we're aiming for(20mesh). 1lb for $8.99:
amzn.to/48xeduJ
2lbs of coarse sand. Appears to be a grain size a tiny bit larger than what we're aiming for(20mesh) but not a problem at all. My mixes are mostly sand, but with this sand I would increase my peat ratio a little from roughly 80:20 Sand to Peat to roughly 50:50, or maybe 60:40. 2lbs for $11.95:
amzn.to/3IjPSxD
5lbs Silica Aquarium Sand. Grain size seems to me to be acceptable. Notice there is some small notification down the page somewhere saying people return this sand often. But I'm thinking it's really nothing of an issue to us, I would look at review pictures. 5lbs for $15.52:
amzn.to/431xFP1
10lbs Black QUARTZ Aquarium Sand. Seems to be a decent sized grain. 10lbs for $16.99(Great Price):
amzn.to/3P2uHE9
10lbs Black Silica Sand, they 10lbs, 25lbs, 35lbs, and 45lbs. Grain size seems decent. 10lbs for $18.99:
amzn.to/3SYFFM6
10lbs Natural Silica Sand with grain size of 14-20mesh for $21.99:
amzn.to/49yd2fS
10lbs Small Gravel I personally felt would be nice for covering soil, up to you if you like doing that kind of thing. 10lbs for $14.99(Great Price):
amzn.to/3Tn3sa4
10lbs small ANGULAR Gravel I would use as top dressing for covering soil. 10lbs for $15.33:
amzn.to/3T1rOEJ
11lbs Natural Silica Sand with a grain size which seems to be good based on review video. 11lbs for $29.99:
amzn.to/3IlsjVh
18lbs Coarse Silica Sand. Seems to be a good sized grain for our use. 18lbs for $35.49:
amzn.to/3TgrnaS
20lbs Black QUARTZ Aquarium Sand. Seems to be a decent sized grain. 20lbs for $27.99(Great Price):
amzn.to/49Qc5iy
20lbs Black Silica Aquarium Sand. Seems to be of a good grain size, not too small. 20lbs for $24.99:
amzn.to/48L4gtO
20lbs (Silica?/Quartz?) Prairie Aquarium Substrate Sand. Looks nice, I would like to use it. 20lbs for $32.70:
amzn.to/49BvAvu
20lbs (Silica?/Quartz?)Natural Aquarium Substrate Sand. Looks nice, I would like to use it. 20lbs for $36.04:
amzn.to/3wzsg5I
20lbs Small Gravel I personally would think is nice for covering top of soil if you're into that sort of thing. 20lbs for $25.19(Great Price):
amzn.to/3UZyxl4
20lbs Small ANGULAR Gravel I would like to use as a top dressing for covering soil. 20lbs for $25.19:
amzn.to/3ThdWaQ
20 Quarts of the Organic Sphagnum Peat Moss I mix into my Silica Sand: amzn.to/42PoiBH
The dead dried Sphagnum moss I use in the base of my pots to keep sand and peat from sifting out. Also, I just like having a lot of dried sphagnum moss on hand because for example the really good New Zealand stuff is so pricey. (This bag is 7 Liters) :

Heard to make the red come out, you need uv and or so blue ( eg found in some expensive grow lights or reef aquarium led lights)

So the light fixture is tied to an upper shelf while plants are underneath it obviously. But you said you measured some distance of temperature. The shelves offer that perfect distance, or did you have to tweak something to get that level of desired distance from light to plants.

The shelves are entirely customizable. Like you said, I kept tweaking it, adjusting the height of the shelves to get that perfect distance
