If you’re reading this….this is a sign that you’re going to pass that interview! Just have faith and confidence in yourself. I literally watched this video an hour before my interview and it was extremely helpful towards my process. P.S. I got the job!!!! @@ItzHussuniI was actually invited to a different interview somewhere else the day before this group one and I got the job there! As for the group interview it wasn’t too bad, we only had 2 tasks which were introduce the person sat next to you to the rest of the group and sell a random shoe to the group. Not heard from them yet but won’t be too sad if I don’t get it as at least i passed the other interview :)

Thank you Richard for this helpful video. There was 15 of us (as Candidates) and I went through to the top 2. I also noticed that the other candidate also watched your videos, I could tell by his replies to the questions we were being asked. And because there was only 1 role available, I GOT THE JOB.

I have done a couple of interviews before that I never even received feedback afterwards, but after watching your videos before going for a group assessment on 19th October, I received a call with very positive feedback 3 days later and a junior business analyst job offer! Best tip: listen more and champion others in the team. And most importantly, it is not a competition.

Most important tip was to realize other candidates are not your enemies, they are really assessing how you work in groups, your mannerism and if your personality meets their culture. Hi Richard, just had my virtual assessment group interview this morning after listening to this particular video and the employer called me back in the afternoon and said she was very impressed and that I had passed. I thought I had tanked but I didn’t say that. It was a role play interview and also we were given a scenario where we had to advice the client. I remembered the 4Cs you taught me and I just went for it. There were some rude candidates taking over everyone but I just let them and did my part and also included other candidates in the discussion. Interviewer told me that it was good that I didn’t take over or over talk like some other people. She said I listened and acknowledged everyone and worked well as a team. I’ve been invited to a face to face final interview next week. Any tips? Thank you for getting me to this stage. You’re amazing🙏🏾

3:15 be friendly, not interrupt others, and include others in conversations during the group interview. 4:00 talk and also listen carefully to other people. 4:10 use other candidates to your advantages. 5:05 the first can be free talk, the second is a role-play activity. ... and at the end, you would be asked "how the team is performed" be positive and constructive. talk about the strengths, and the areas you can improve on. 6:15 the third type is just simply asking you interview questions in front of others. and also show how you interact and communicate with others. 8:25 the other candidates are not your enemy 9:00 a firm handshake and eye contact are very important. ... pleased to meet you. 9:30 do not steal others limelight. 10:10 be the first to start off a conversation. take lead at some stage during group interview. and look to involve others in the interview. 10:50 communicate effectively: what you say and how you say. listen more than you speak/ listen intently. 11:00 reaffirm what someone has said during the interview - show you are brilliant communicator and team worker. 11:25 that's a really valid point you just made. does everyone else agree with Mary's view on this subject? 12:20 ways to communicate effectively: acknowledge someone's contribution to the discussion: yes, i agree with you. it is a valid point and something I'd actually considered myself recently. does anyone have a different opinion on the subject? 12:40 disagree with someone's contribution: i respect your viewpoint, but i don't necessarily agree. i actually believe there's a better way of doing things ... explanation. 13:10 ask them to clarify: could you just explain on what you are saying there for me, please? it's an interesting viewpoint and i'd be keen to hear more. 13:40 NUMBER 1 to get high marks and show you are a highly-employable person: i noticed you've not had the opportunity to say anything yet, sarah. what's your opinion? 15:00 passing a group interview: #1 conduct yourself professionally #2 contribute confidently #3 communicate effectively. #4 champion others' to get involved. 15:40 arrive early and introduce yourself to the interviewers and candidates. about half an hour before. 16:10 make an effort to impress 16:35 dont mess around at the interview venue and crack jokes to try making people laugh. 18:05 do show you are listening by nodding your head and demonstrating you are paying attention. 19:00 "i think we we should let Michael talk and listen to what he has to say" "can we let sarah finish please, i'm really interested in her opinion. thank you" 19:40 do practice an icebreaker. 21:15 icebreaker script: 24:20 questions to ask at the end of group interview: Q1: what are the future plans for the company over the next 3-5 years. Q2: do you have any new and exciting products or services coming out soon? Q3: what frustrated you in the past about people who have held this position previously?

I recently passed mt group interview using those techniques. I would also add that at the start the roles should be split amongst the candidates if possible such as time keeping or accumulating i formation if in the task you are given many pieces of i formation on different papers. In my situation i asked if anyone else wants to accumulate the information and if not i'm happy to do it. In the end i was the one accumulating information and also asked about a timekeeper. This video was incredibly helpful and i'm greatful to have had such amazing resources in preparation for my dream job selection process

Thanks for many good tips. I've a all day group interview tomorrow, I'm a bit introverted so don't do well in large groups even though I'm excellent with customers on a one to one bases so rather nervous but this has helped me to know I don't have to be the first to answerer every question . I've no idea what to do about masks or handshakes since pretty much all restrictions ended last week, but I'm still not sure if a handshake is appropriate.

Thank you for this.... I got a group interview with Virgin Airline in a few days for just a pit crew member. I've been for group interviews before and I sorta knew what they were looking at, this video has defiantly helped me fine tune my technique... I think I used to be the guy that just over talked everyone and took charge, I realize now how wrong that was.... sadly I over talk everyone in my personal life and I need to stop n learn when to speak.

I had one today, and by far WORST interview of my life. It was the first time experiencing Group interviews. People talking over each other, dictors, and just very challenging to get a word in. Had to Rise my hands alot because WOW. However kept my composure. I don't know how I got the position, cause I absolutely hated that Interview. Your Video really helped Me to be honest.🤗Thank you!

Update: I got the job!! I'm so excited. So the group interview wasn't at all hard. Im usually nervous no matter how prepared I am for them. But this time around, with your help, I wasn't as nervous because your examples were spot on. The interviewer only had us introduced ourselves and go over our resumes. Completely simple, which was great for me. However, I was very much prepared and ready for anything. Thank you forever!💓 & although I didnt use them, I'll be keeping them up as sticky notes on my laptop to help me through my day to day customer service role.

@@sysonic917Heyy!! It was four of us. Me and another woman was dressed formally, the other two weren't. I personally feel that appearance matters. The interviewer has never met you before so your appearance will set the tone of who you are and that you take the meeting seriously. Group interviews can go one or two ways. Either group exercises or simply to save time. So they interview more than one persons simultaneously. I was worried that they were gonna do scenarios that prove teamwork as well as individual strengths bc I don't like to be put on the spot, but they didn't. It was a very simple process. However, the notes I took from this video and his other videos sure helped me to feel prepared for the "what ifs". They literally just asked us to briefly scan through our resume and the typical "tell me about yourself" question. So regardless of how the interview will go, be as prepared as possible so you'll feel confident. Bc at the end of the day your knowledge, confidence and energy is what they're looking for. As for as the other candidates, I think we all did well. That being said, set yourself apart by your appearance and put your best foot forward. Goodluck !!! 😊

In group interviews, especially in your second language, prepare concise points ahead of time about your strengths and experiences. Practice delivering them confidently. To join conversations, use body language like nodding and maintaining eye contact, and listen actively to find moments where your insights are relevant. Don’t hesitate to politely interject with phrases like, “I’d like to add…” to make your voice heard. I have a group discussion interview this week and I am nervous thinking about it. I don't speak fluent english and I'm not good at expressing my opinion or ideas in front of a lot of people.
