We debated this but I don't think it's entirely necessary. There are a lot of ways to boost movement speed to outrun the hunter. Also appreciate the kinds words and feedback.

This was on mild mode. I wanted it to be the hunter that I would die to rather than the creatures. My friend had little prep time so we might do a rematch where he'll have a plan going in to it.

Im making a new playthrough on grounded and i wanted to know if you have any tips for me so i can be less paranoid on single player (which is why i usually only play on multiplayer because im too scared to even kill a lawn mite)

my best advice is start on mild with custom settings, have it so when you die it all respawns with you also maybe consider arachnophobia mode (even if youre not actually scared of spiders, fighting wolf spiders without poison immunity or good weapons is terrifying) just throw yourself into enemies you believe you can fight, even if you die you dont lose anything so just try to win! over time youll become more confident and have better gear to win more and more fights! also, sleep every night unless you cant or need to farm something at night (example : fireflies, gnats, etc) that way you dont run into any awake wolf spiders one final tip : USE THE GAME PREVIEW DEBUG! if a wolf spider is at your base, reset spawns! if you find yourself being chased by a swarm of mites, reset spawns! most importantly, if a wolf spider is out during the day where you need to be, RESET SPAWNS! hope this info helps :)

I tried this on our first attempt but my friend just crafted an axe and then respawned at the field station right by the rotten larva blade. We had to change the rules so that he had to respawn at kids case when dying plus armor is really valuable early on.

i fully expected one of them to grab the larva blade at the beginning

We had a seperate game where we tried it but then respawning at the field station killed me. Armor is actually more important than the weapons

Thanks for the sub! This is a good idea the only problem is that when one person collects a BURG.L chip it unlocks it for everyone. So only one person would have to do the haze lab and this would set them miles behind the person that doesn't do it. We could also do this but on seperate worlds but then it's basically just a speedrun race.

The smart method for callum to have gotten red ant armor and bow and arrows early and killed the 3 to four stinkbugs by haze by lureing em to red ants then mass makeing red ant clubs to huck and have gas arrows and get gas mask for himself. Also make a respawn point in hedge near broodmother so he could screw you over in the fight.

Once the broodmother fight starts the entrance seals off so once he died he couldn't get back inside. Gas arrows wouldn't have worked since I had a gas mask. Throwing those red ant clubs is SO OP LOL

The fact you were using acorn armor for the most part makes me realize he could have easily just drawn a wolf to you and you probably would have gained aggro due to huge threat, it attacking you plus him keeping you from a safe place could had led to him winning fairly early

would be nice if there was a few different modes in grounded like a free for all or something my mates would love having secret hidden bases and trying to steal each others shit and killing each other not sure how they would do the story and lab parts though maybe have all recipes from super chips and unlocks from labs unlocked from start. Maybe a modded pvp grounded

Yeah, you can disable player name plates now making it easier to do pvp stuff but the labs would still be an issue.

I know I am very late to comment this but I would like to see more of this Also I would have just made like 5 spears and throw them at the hunter because spears do a deadly amount of damage when thrown

Spears are a good idea but hard to hit. Callum had a bow for a while and just couldn't hit me lol. Will do more in the near future for sure

Mild as I wanted the hunter to be the one to kill me not any of the bugs in the yard. It's a bit anti climatic if I die to a random wolf spider

You need to redo this after 1.1 when you can hide your nameplates and location on map

This was just when I started making videos, he's just a friend that I beat the game with so he knew the basics. I admit that I had a little more experience but I didn't really know any content creators in the space at the time
