Yeah, I don't have any hate towards Milton, but he is so negative all time. When the update that brought loads of new decoration closely after 1.0 came out he literally just whined about how there weren't any weapon and bug fixes (which came not long after that)

If we do see the return of the teens from grounded 1, I kinda hope they're adults or not playable. I'd like to see more stuff centering around Ominent and it's employees as a company being the main antagonist rather than specifically Schmector and his projects.

I would love a Grounded 2. It would be interesting to see what Obsidian could do with a bigger team and budget.

Few things and perspectives. 1. From a job/managerial perspectives, They have wrapped on Grounded. I’m going to use a scary phrase here, but it’s going into maintenance mode. No that doesn’t mean the game is dead. They are bug fixing and doing occasional cosmetics as they have said but overall they are shifting priorities. At any job when that happens, you cancel the meetings you don’t really need for the old projects that are done. That’s just a job perspective of it. This gives them more time for whatever the next project is. The game only dead when the community is dead. 2. They gave us playgrounds to help the community thrive and make content and give us the tools to do what we want with the game because they are so limited due to the size of the team. And that’s not a bad thing! 3. Legit fear here and not sure if it’s mentioned yet but the recent Xbox closures. Yes Grounded was/is a success and you wouldn’t think a small team that put out a hit game would be in any sort of fear but then you have the Studio that made Hi Fi Rush. My worry and a legit worry is Xbox upper management. 4. Here comes some mild shit talk so ignore if you want. I got into Grounded about a year ago. Medicre Milton was some of the first videos saw on KZread and I gravitated toward them, I noticed they seemed negative. I saw a few comments on Reddit about him generally being a doomsayer for clicks. I stopped watching him and watched occasional videos here and from the other creators mentioned. I also watched a few live streams. This let me watch the reaction to the 1.3 and 1.4 updates from the community as a lurker. MM would post update videos usually immediately followed by negative reactions or how the game is dying with every update or tease. Just go to his KZread page and look at the thumb nails. My opinion/rant: okay man you don’t like the game anymore or the direction, cool. Then shut up and stop farming the game for clicks by doom saying, just say hey I don’t liked eh game anymore and move on. You’re making yourself miserable by making content on it. I don’t like hearing/seeing a 12 min video of you complaining about the gaming knowing damn well that 12 minute video at a minimum took 2-10 hours of work. Use that time to literally do anything else that makes you smile, please. It will make you and the grounded community happier. No one is hurting the other by liking or hating this game. I would like to add that active online community/youtube doesn’t =active playing online. Right now I want to enjoy what’s in front of me and not dwell on what’s to come that isn’t even announced or confirmed. Personally I still have the main game to finish and a few playgrounds to check out and multiple friends to convince to play the game.

They also have all the asests for the current bugs and world iteams. Now, for a sequal, they have half the work done already.

Really hope they do more with the robots in grounded 2. Imagine the automation potential or new defenses or new armor. Imagine tazing a roach in an aluminum armor set made out of Taz.Ts. I've always wanted some sort of exoskeleton type armor that could allow customization with it. Like you could take a blaster off an Arc.r and put it on your exoskeleton, or add a visor plate the robots have onto your head that could add new hud, like damage you deal, the enemy's weaknesses so you don't have to memorize it. That's what i want. It could add a lot more customization, but that isn't enough of it. Im pumped for grounded 2, even if this is not going to make it.

I'd love to see armor and tools made of actual metal in Grounded 2, if not candy armor. There's metal pieces in the backyard that could easily be melted at the temperature the oven could easily reach (namely the pewter miniatures in the labyrinth/D&D game setup) as well as some scraps of aluminum foil here and there. I also think you could get away with using raw science to make candy-metal alloys for higher tier equipment

I have no idea what direction Grounded 2 could go in because there's so much they could do. Part of me hopes there is character customization to some degree.

I would like to see the inside of the house or Ominent lab on Grounded 2. The missing teens on the milk carton as the new playable characters would be cool. I think the popularity of the upcoming TV show will help reach more people to play the game. Grounded 2 will be epic! Thanks for always giving us reliable content, Jade.

I just wonder, in grounded 2, will we finally see assets used that weren't used in grounded, like finally seeing a use for the lizard cut from the sandbox. I just hope we see new insects, i think it would be amazing. Plus if they even included inside a house or building could. Just small companies like this, i enjoy. I mean i feel like to company that makes the subnautica games is a smaller company and the favt they are making a second subnautica and making it without micro transactions and all that will be fun, and it gives me hope in indie or smaller companies for games

A cool start for grounded 2 could be from the true/good ending, where director shimechtor escaping jail becoming small and hiding in a new yard, you could start with weapons and tools or choose to have either a club, sword, spear as a weapon and pick if you want heals, a torch, different tools, or armor, being a limit before the game like 6 items to start of with, and if you were to play in like whoa mode than your tools and stuff could get stuck in the yard somewhere and you have to go find and retrieve it

I hope grounded 2 takes place in Australia, I just want to see a huntsman spider boss fight. Yes I love the huntsman spider along with the black widow

I tried Grounded on my Xbox One. Since then ive bought it for my switch and my ps5 so I can play it whenever and whereever. Its a brilliant game and I cant wait to see what Obsidian do next!

Think they also forget that a bunch of us enjoy buying a complete experience and that being it. Similar to how Balder's Gate was praised for being a one and done package. Yes some things are being adjusted but there's no "why bother grinding this when next months trash loot is better than this months super rares"

Man dropping previous gen for Grounded 2 would open up so many possibilities! I'd assume the setting would change which would introduce tons of new creatures but we could also get building interiours, neighbouring yards, increased density of creature populations, bigger "dungeons" etc. I would absolutely rinse a Grounded 2! As for Milton, I think he can sometimes touch on a good point but he almost always seems to start out from quite a negative viewpoint and the way he gets his point across sounds to me like "X has to happen this way or the game will fail and everyone will stop playing it", when in reality there's lots of directions they could go with each feature and Obsidian have shown to have great ideas time and time again (some of course with a touch of iteration and refinement, but that's game development).

If grounded 2 is announced at the end of the year I will freak out lol. *im just making a made up date* I would love to see new mechanics for grounded 2 like climbing. Flying if the map is bigger and flying being balanced and lots of revisited bugs like the huntsman or the snail etc

I got grounded when it first came out and have played it here and there with new updates, when it came out recently on the switch I bought it and have been playing it a lot more, I’ve really enjoyed playing it and it has come a long way with many great updates, thanks for the great video-Ryan

I feel like Grounded will have something like the Warhammer Fantasy/40,000 Vermin/Dark Tide We will accidentally be sent to Moldorcs universe as small people and the game is more medieval with more unique teens bugs and weapons, or we will either be inside of a lab as small people or a house. (BTW the NG+ hammers are called Warhammers in the files!)

i think a sequel could be, omminent make a mistake and create massive bugs in the real world so pete and the gang have to survive in the town flooded by massive creatures rather than in a garden

i love it, its like a alternative event in the future and the bugs are the ones intruding the human world, imagining walking into a gas station only to find a stinkbug rummaging in the trash behind the building or a orb weaver has tooken refuge within the shop's supply room covered in webs and eggsacks, or at night on the streets a wolfspider thumping the ground as it crushes vehicles in its paths and crawling nto house walls, man it would be a amazing concept

As a new grounded player on ps5. I'm loving the game my friends are already saying that it's taken their place as their favorite game.

Look I’m thinking about a boss for grounded too if it ever does come out a tarantula or a scorpion I’m thinking for a tarantula like it would like spread its legs open, and then it will release a bunch of dust into the air. That’s what I think for the scorpion Uses its tail and it will squirt out a bunch of poison puddles or like acid that’s what I think should be a scorpion and a tarantula and plus maybe we could get a brown hair recruit spider the second poisonous spider in the world

100% agree. Grounded is a game I think really perfected the rpg aspect of open world survival. Unique armor, weapons and class system. The mutation idea is great and I kinda wish games like Valhiem and what not had a similar system for their classes.

I was thinking a trailer would be something like: Grounded 2, back 2 the ground back 2 the bugs and back 2 the yard Only this time, twice the amount of content, and twice the amount of bugs --/--/2025 Idk, i tried to mimic the original trailer style Btw, yeh Milton sucked, that guy really tried to make people start consivercy over a small dev team who make a bug game, he is a grown man playing a teens game, what's he expect of course his sad negative impact on a game is gonna drag him down a rabbit hole he brought on himself, overall let's hope he won't be back to knock it on the sequel when it comes out in the near furture

You’ve been the one I watched for everything. You had faith in the game all the way through

Will definitely be something to look forward to, especially if they focus on releasing it on newer consoles that are not as restrictive hardware wise.

It goes without saying that grounded 2 has to become a reality. Why let such a good game not have a 2nd part and lose out on the amount of money it will generate plus the gamers will love it think. There is many ways to start part 2 story like one of the kids goes back to Wendell and asks him to shrink them again because they have to go back into the garden for whatever reason, it could even be set in any of the scientists gardens or they have to find the 5th kid or they want to prove to the world they didn’t make up the story by bringing back some technology they found in the garden etc etc etc… COME ON DEVS MAKE IT HAPPEN BECAUSE WE WANT IT.

One of the absolute best survival games I've played. I have played since before the days of the upper yard, when the broodmother was dummy hard and the only boss in the game. I think it's a great completed game. I absolutely can't wait for grounded 2.

I'm just saying this now, but i think grounded 2 will be a preq and we'll either be the kids from the milk carton or new kids completely from before max willow and pete, we'll get more info on kid #5 . And unfortunately the ending we'll end up dead fighting someone or something be it director smechtor or a more terrifying insect. My friend thinks it'll be a continuation, if it's a continuation, i say then there will have to be a whole new story, new reason why someone was shrunk, a new crazy scientist or something a whole new everything

I'm just so glad that the devs weren't like 'ok we are done with updates lets just leave the game to rot' as grounded is brilliant and so well made, with a team that actually cares about its community. That sort of thing is rare within the modern day gaming industry. I have over 1000 hours in the game and been playing since the doom and shroom update

Grounded is absolutely brilliant. Was a perfect storm of me. I had 4 mates that had a shared world and we played it for months and months. Each of jumping in and building when we good and then getting together once a week to progress the the story. Loved it, one of the best gaming experiences Ive ever had. If (when ) grounded 2 is announced, I'll be first in line.

I'm sure that there will be a Grounded 2! There's so many bugs that they designed already, but had to cut from the game, and I doubt they'd just throw those models away! My hope is that the next Grounded game will take place in an Australian Backyard, with Lizards, Scorpions, Bird-spiders, Centipedes, etc... I want it to be INSANE!

I would love a more horror themed survival experience in Grounded 2 IMO. Not overly graphic horror but just enough in that direction. Honestly i get jump scares in Grounded already 😂😂

different teams work on different things, groudne dteam is cut off from main teams

I just hope they implement some of the stuff that small lands has, like roll dodge, like wings. Also no new game plus unless they want to make it not insanely difficult. It should be viable to play solo, its not a co-op game its a solo game with co-op feature. Also ng+ is highly younger player base unfriendly.

@MushwellFungi tbh i didn't even realize small lands had mounts until after I got my first wings and I never needed a mount. I think honestly pretty pointless in small land with the great tree and catapult and pointless in grounded with ziplines and teleporters. The wings are just cool. To me roll dodge is important tho. IBM and Mantis ng+3 I can't seem to get away from double staff attacks that one shot me

I am pretty sure that after Milton had played Grounded, he was/still is, going through some kind of burnout. I didn't see him actually enjoying any games that he was playing, not just Grounded. Not any kind of excuse for his negativity, I just think his sour attitude runs deeper than we realize. Incidentally, it was Milton's negativity that turned me away from his content, and Jade's positivity brought me here! So good on you Jade for keeping it real and staying positive when so many haters tried to ruin our fun! 👍

I love the latest update to Grounded. The game has done way better than haters wanted it to. I'm really hoping for a part 2 to this game.
