    I purchased my Sinclair mount from Scott at Practical Preppers. I drove from Alabama to South Carolina and picked the mount up at Scott’s place. Scott provided everything needed for the install - steel, bolts, panel clamps, and PV wire clips. Super nice folks. Thanks Scott and thanks to your wife too.

    Great product and great service from Scott. Teamed up with a fellow Texan who drove to Scott’s place and brought back two Sinclairs. Built a template, had the holes drilled in the ground, set the posts with the template, and concrete poured. The rest of it went together fast, perfectly aligned. Awesome mount.

    This is great! Reminds me of the Schletter days. I really much prefer ground mounts over roof mounts any day.

    Nice system. I’m thinking of using this as a patio cover in my small back yard, which ideally faces due east, here in SoCal. Still working on getting association approval for my roof😢

    I do love mine. I wish I had gone with 20 panels instead of 16 because my OCD doesn't like the uneven spaces verticals. Also razor sharp so wear gloves during assembly. I pre assembled mine on the ground just to make sure where the posts go. But I did do the 4" overlap so maybe that's why it didn't like up to the drawings. I don't think I got the instillation instructions just blueprints and brochure. Still great product. I live in Michigan so I bought from Practical preppers and picked up from the factory. Great all around experience

    someone needs to come up with a carport company to utilize these same-day install on unlevel surfaces. Especially w/ the post driver. I'd buy one for my tractor tomorrow.

    You will need a trickle charger for any lead based battery, but that's like a 1sqft solar panel with some alligator clips. ~$25. Lithium is much better about self discharging, but there's no reason not to include a small maintainer with your purchase of any battery. The cost is miniscule.

  • @Capoe3

    @Capoe3

    @@PatrickKQ4HBD I agree, just make sure you get the correct charger for your voltage of batteries. 12 is easy any old trickle charger will do. 24 and 48 get a bit more expensive.

    The poles are 13' long on the season adjustable version with a 6' minimum depth. So if your on flat ground the toast will be 7' out of the ground minus the height of the top girder so about 9". But the metal is razor sharp so I recommend debuting it but that removes the galvanizing so use the split fuel line trick if u have kids and your at your fall or winter angles

    $2,700 for a 14 panel system is way to expensive when you can have a fab shop make a 14 panel system for under $500. I was quoted $400. Or you can make a system yourself with treated wood even cheaper that tilts for summer and winter.

    Hmm, when I see equipment -manpower and and hardware, you have to be really young if you ever are gaining from it 😉 Glad i make what I need to fix myself, economic it can't be something you gaining from. Heard people who are 50 to 70 years old without children Invest $50 000 dollars in solar, it's impossible that it's is affordable. Solar are simple to mount yourself, Thout it was too save money you use solar. If it's for buisness and industry I can understand projects like this, I built it to save money 🙂 If you have to much money, use it 🙂👍
