⁠@@VV-db8vhactually groot is based on the Philippine Balete tree, in the Philippine culture this tree is believed to be a gateway to giant supernatural beings. Which describes groot to the tea and his home of Planet X. The way these trees produce offspring is legit by either have a branch or root break off, or for us humans to do the same thing. So baby groot is literally his child.

@@VV-db8vhthis is also probably why baby groot hated the bonsai tree, Philippine Balete tree natural will kill other bonsais over territory and resources and are the main trees they kill from the roots

If you think about it, the OG Groot really died (albeit as a martyr), as the new Groot had a completely different personality.

Technically when you propagate a branch (forcing the cuttings to create roots), it’s the same dna structure as the original. Just likely bc he’s a plant, he grew differently in this environment.

@@curupaco nope, same thing. its like how i grow my tomato plants with their suckers, the plant has the same dna just looks different. most people think clones will look like the original but that is just not true.

These are two different groots. And the second may have become king groot because the way they learn is through the light around them and being around powerful beings his entire life made him stronger.

@@curupaco Correct if I'm wrong but wasn't buu essentially an adult in all his forms as well. His most powerful form kid Buu was just a title right, or did he actually revert too a child form there. It might have been cool if Groot was like Cell/Piccolo and be able to absorb other entities like Cell did with the androids or Piccolo did with Nail and Kami giving him power and ability boosts
