What a nice little prince Sonny is! I do have a question. I do not have show dogs but I have an issue with one has a longer coat, and it keeps getting a lot of static in it. When I try to brush it becomes very fly away. Is there something that I can do when I brush daily that will make this better? Thank you and take care!

Thank you so much for this video. I have a maltese and have not been able to find a decent groomer. Her last 2 grooms were terrible so I decided to do it myself. I would hope I would do a decent job, but if I don't , I didn't pay a fortune for that terrible job. Your video was very educational and I feel confident enough to do a groom on my dog. I am going for full coat with her as well. Please note the picture is not my maltese she is a little foster dog I had. Unfortunately she was a puppy mill breeder and had cushings and diabetes. She passed away and broke my heart.

Hello, thank you for the video, Sunny is very pretty and very well behaved dog. :) So when you are brushing whilst drying the coat there is no need to use a detangling spray? Do you have any tips how to prevent matting that happens right on top of wraps, please?

Hello Adriana you must have active dogs, if they move and play they will mat more quickly on top of the wraps. I love the Quick fix spray for this to gently brush the mats out and also don't wait longer than 2 days for redoing the wraps, I hope this helps. So when you are brushing whilst drying the coat there is no need to use a detangling spray? on this question, I would say if you have just used a good conditioner it's not necessary to use a detangler, sometimes I do use but I needed to dry sunny like for the show so I kept it simple and dry? between the shows you can even put a tea spoon oil in the conditioner if you wish.

Hi Kitty, thank you for the video I really enjoyed it I bought the eye envy products from transgroom I got the wash, powder and the beard cleanser. All products have made a fab difference to my Bichon's eye stains but my shih-tzu puppy 10 months who is also a show dog beard is still very stained never had that problem with her mum (champion)as her beard is dark but have you any recommendations for her beard and any suggestions on get her used to the coat been wrapped she keeps pulling them out no matter how gently I put them in. Thank you.

Unfortunately, there is no straight forward answer how that comes. this can be because of so many reasons, Genetic, hormonal, teeth problems . giving bottle water can be a solution . The get her used to , is starting from a very young age , that the beard & coat are being wrapped . It's not always very easy and also depending from dog to dog . Sometimes it doesn't work at all . sometimes it goes better after time . Hopefully it all works out . Please if we can help you further , don't hesitate to contact us . Kind regards.

i would love to see grooming video for the german spitzes that should not be cut, mittelspitz,klinespitz,grosespitz, wolfspitz/keeshound. what products and shampoo to use? what sheers to use around the feet?. what brushes do i use to not rip his entire undercoat out! should i be able to brush through it all the way to the skin? in yes how do i do that without removing all his undercoat that makes him look fluffy :X please help. oh and also how to i maintain this coat best when conditioner will make it flat?

Hello Thatz, I like to have the temperature on the minimum heat because I always think it's too warm for the coat. The show tech minimum is 165° .

Hello Sebastiàn , thank you for your positive feedback . lovely to hear you enjoyed it . Yes, indeed , normally , as a perfect breed standard a Maltese had a single coat ; But however, Nowadays , in the grooming shop , you see a lot of Maltese coats with undercoat . Time changes :-) .

Why is the hair on Sunny's face so orangey brown and discolored? It looks bad. I think a show dog face should be pure white. That should be cleaned.

Hello , thank you for your message , i understand your feedback , but it's not easy to keep a maltese face white , because of the tears stains, also this is a genetic aspect. it's mostly because of the acid in the stains , that it can turn into brown. a lot of products are helping to remove this issue and colouring, however it's not always an easy thing to do . Es ist schade, dass Sie das für Tierquälerei halten, denn einen gefilzten und dann kurz geschorenen Malteser können wir als Tierquälerei einstufen.
