Thanks, actually installed similar mirrors on stock bars with stock screw, and when I got the pro tapers I had no idea how to attach them! Luckily I found your video. Awesome content

Fitted the same mirrors to my Honda Forza very pleased with them and well made for the money

I think they look better low too. On fortunately on my protaper KLX 110 bars, I couldn't see around my hands which defeated the purpose. Maybe on a sport bike or something with more swept bars it would be different.

You can fit them to stock bars, just bin the expanding collet and use the stock screw to attach the mirror.

Did you drill a hole into the pro taper bar for the throttle controls ? If so, did moving it back to make space for the bar ends on the throttle side make your controls loose once again? (Since it’s no longer sitting in the drilled groove)

How did you just move the throttle tube over . The controls have a nub that go into a hole so they don’t slip . I Had to drill my bars so I could tighten the controls back on

i think your silly for putting them upside down :P i was like how is he going to see through his arms ohh right he's going to install them twice! would love to see some performance mods to the sf before you sell it! or how about make it an off roader!

I sold the SF last year unfortunately man :(. There are several guys in our local squad that have knobbies on their groms and regularly off-road them. I'm not too keen on offroading my grom, I keep it on the street and have my DRZ400 for offroad adventures!

I’m sure you’ve covered this before, but are those KLX bars? I’m running XR50s and don’t have near the horizontal space before the bend that you do.

Yep, I run the DRZ/KLX 110 Protapers in 7/8! The Xr50s are a bit higher right?

They are. They feel fine to me, but the lever perches sit basically right at the bend which causes the levers to not sit squarely with the rest of the controls. When you pull in on either the brake or clutch, they strike at the tops of the grips instead of dead center. If that makes sense! I still run them though.

How are the ball joints? Sturdy enough to hold mirrors at place in speed?

Good question. Yes, definitely sturdy enough to hold the mirrors still at speed. I have not pad a problem with them.

Super thin oil painter’s palette knife or a dental pick. I have pried with a razor before but I’ve also cut myself real extra good like that so... I’m a bit shy about it now 😬

Cool. Yah its nice to have mirrors but i still look around. As long as you dont crash into cars that stop suddenly your good lol.

Lol, exactly. Here in California to be legal you have to have at least one, so that's why I run them. You're absolutely right, looking in mirrors are NO substitute for looking over your shoulder!

You don't mention if there is any mirror side to side adjustability. It looks like it might be a swivel head but not sure.

As cool as my bar end mirrors are its made my bars to long for filtering through traffic. But they are cool though

True, they add just a little bit more on each side, I always have to be very careful when I filter here in town.

wtf honda bars are 7/8"? and why do these mirrors companies keep making mirrors for 7/8" bars that no ones has anymore
