When you hear something like “this animal’s sense of smell is 4/5/.. times stronger than ours” you can’t really picture it. Well, they can SMELL THE EXACT LOCATION OF CLAMS UNDER THE SAND. Wow. And that area must be filled with all sorts of smells from the tide and animals, but they can identify and isolate that one from that one clamp. Amazing.

Clamps are pretty smelly. One time my 6yr old sister brought back clamps she found in cape cod on a three-hour drive back home. Good thing there weren't any grizzlies within a 200-mile radius...

Well I don't think a bear would eat a person but they're super territorial. It's likely they'll kill you if you're in their territory especially if they think your presence is a threat to their cubs.

@@adb8003 even than pandas are known to screw your crap up too, and I have heard plenty occassions even in my area where people try to present themselves to black bears and the Black Bear starts whooping them.

Noah Baldiviezo I know, they’re all dangerous. Grizzlies just tend to be the most aggressive whereas pandas can be passive and black bears will usually run.
I like how the narrator tried to hide it and slowly express what they were hunting for, but it says that in the title

These are the bears that Timothy Treadwell hung out with for 13 summers before one of them ate him and his girlfriend alive in 2003- captured in the documentary Grizzly man. Treadwell did not respect the wild nature of these bears, he thought they were his friends and he had a special connection. Sadly his delusions got someone else killed alongside him. Ketmai Park rangers shot at least 2 bears and found the partially digested remains of both victims in their stomachs.
Pit against fighting bull now!

How dare they! Do those bears not look at the clam limit before digging? I bet their way over the limit taking 100 a day 😂
So what is the arriving meal?? (Awesome video tho)
you dont really hunt for clams, you just forage them.
