Incase anyone was wondering that white bear is actually called a kermode bear (spirit bear). They are just black bears with a mutation and are only found in the west coast of Canada. They are extreeemely rare, I've only ever got to see one once as a child which is considered very lucky. :)

There are six color phases of black bears; black, chocolate, cinnamon, blue (it's not actually blue but looks like dark blue/grey) blond and white. A simple google search would reveal this info rather than speculating on a grizzly cross. American Indians called the white phase black bear "Ghost Bear". People please research prior to making a statement on a subject you don't know much about.

Living in a mountainous area myself I can attest for how brutal they are. Once watched a bear eat a fawn alive when hunting. The noises a baby dear makes while eaten alive is intense to say the least. Gotta love nature

The male bear did not want to fight the female even though he knew that he would have easily won. He had probably already ate enough fish and was no longer very hungry, after all he threw away one fish and had left lots of uneaten scraps. He also knows that the mating season will be coming around soon so there was no point in burning bridges

during season, salmon is plentiful and it is better to eat females with more fat and proteins than eating lean males...that way they can pack more calories per pound of meal and it helps to build thick layer of fat by the time season gets over,winter sets in and food becomes scarce... When the Bears are well fed and fattened they become even more picky ...they rip open the females and eat only the eggs & leave the rest of the fish..

During salmon season, it's usually right before their semi hibernation. They need to stack protien, which is why bear only eats the head, and eggs of the salmon. That's where the proteins are at. You would see half eaten salmon everywhere, they're not interested in the meat

This commentary is completely wrong... the male bear drops the salmon for her, not because he doesn't want to eat a male salmon. There is no aggression between them until the one explosive display by the female, but they are generally more interested and curious in each other's activities, with a bit of cautious trepidation mixed in, than acting competitively or defensively. He actually seems to like her and respect her.

They're both black bears. She's a 'ghost bear' which is a black bear born with pure white fur. It's a rare genetic phenomenon and in the documentary she has two black cubs. This clip is from a 2015 episode of the BBC's long running Natural World TV series. Some episodes are shown in the US on PBS's Nature documentary series.
