Grizzly Bear- Easier (alternate version)

Музыка

I came across this beautiful version of "Easier" with Rossen in the vocals. The song is different than the original with Chris Taylor in the flute. Definitely my favorite band at the moment. cant wait for the album :)

*12 years later and soon as that flute starts, and I hear the whistling guy in the crowd echo, all my hair stands on end. This and the album version, and all of the early GB stuff is magical. Dream gothic electronic folk bliss pop. Hands down my favorite band from this century.*

Grizzly bear is a band that I think would like to be underrated and still underground to a degree ed singing is just brilliant Dan is one of the best underground guitarist and the best guitars in the 2000s just everything he plays is just beautiful moody and dark and even the rest of the band members are spectacular players of anything this is a band that I will never forget thanks grizzly bear for coming into my life and inspiring me x

Still fills me with the richest of emotions, right after that flute section at the beginning. The gentle strumming of that guitar is enough to bring me to tears. I truly covet every chance I get to feel this way so thank you~

what a band. almost without equal. this is just incredible, that flute...to die for. And DR has the bestest guitar tone in the world, ever. I've listened to 'Yellow House' so many times, the original is still a wonder, but it's so nice to hear a different version.

I think he told them to be quiet because Chris Taylor needed to loop the flute. You can hear when Chris is on the floor with the flute and somebody whistles, that whistle repeats in the loop.

Droste is the man, but Dan Rossen was the lead vocals on this track and video. I can't decide who is the better singer on Grizzly Bear though. Both are amazing in their own right.

I'm maybe the biggest fan of Daniel Rossen, but I don't like the way he asks the audience to be quiet. To me, an artist should never have to do that. This version is just incredible btw...so perfect.
