Wow! Just spectacular! Can’t say much else. Congrats on this sort of redemption visit to Glacier. I do recall you haven’t had great conditions on your prior trips which can definitely hinder an experience. Happy this one came through for you. Glacier is so high on my list. I have been patiently waiting until the kids are just a bit bigger because the hikes all seem to be biggies. I am hoping next year and maybe to a Yellowstone, Teton, Glacier circuit. Who knows, though. I wanted to do the Sierras this summer but lost the vote. Plan to hit up some of the Atlantic Maritime Provinces instead.

Great to hear! Glacier is tricky with the climate, wildfires, etc. It was my third trip before I got the ideal conditions. Good call regarding the children.

Ha! I was there with my son August 2023 for a week. We encountered a couple of smoky days due to wildfires, which looks like you avoided. But got in 75 miles of hiking that week despite the haze, and made some lifetime memories in a very special place. Saw lots of mountain sheep 🐑 and goats 🐐 and managed to avoid Mr Griz. …. 🐻

Randy, I was here back in '84 when returning from AK. Sadly, after having perfect weather the whole trip, I hit here on a very gloomy day. I wouldn't have had a problem until that sketchy part around 5:35--narrow trail next to "the abyss".
