I first listened to Västerled when I was beginning to re-root my spirituality in ancestral soil. The music continues to nourish my ritual and meditation, and sometimes reverberates in memory as I walk through the woods where I live, in faraway western Canada. I've long anticipated this second chapter of the trilogy...and my patience has certainly been rewarded! Thank you, Torulf, for nourishing the roots of my spirit! I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Compliments to Grimfrost and the implementation with Johan. I like it just as much as Torulf's music. Keep it up!

Such a talented musician, would love to see him do a collaboration with Kai from Heilung. Now that would be something truly beautiful to witness and listen to. ⚔️🙏🏻

I'm good with the lyrics in Swedish or old Norse. But my Grandmother was from Sweden. Either way thanks for the music and the interview. Just downloaded the album on Spotify.

So cool interview and musical story! Loved to hear the story about the guy from Hedningarna (and yes, kaksi was awesome!) bringing in a hurdy-gurdy - I happen to be getting my first hurdy-gurdy in hopefully two months! I have a kraviklyra and a tagelharpa already and love them!

Excellent interview! Apologies. 20:30 Are you talking about Hindarfjall? My Swedish is horrible (non-existent to put it better) The interview with archaeologist Charlotte Hedenstierna-Jonson made me subscribe to your channel, which I am exploring little by little. My kudos to you, sir! Greetings from Argentina.

Of course. The band is HEDNINGARNA, and the two albums Hegg talks about are KAKSI and TRÄ. Worth checking out. They are pioneers in this type of music, mixing Swedish and Finnish folkmusic with their own take on it.
