The Parrilla, or Gaucho grill, is a great way of cooking meat. In this video I'm grilling a large tomahawk steak, from start to finish.

Being a beer man myself, Hank, I do agree on the "all you need is wine, salt and meat". Good one! And I have to say, comparing with your KZread colleagues in California, Florida, midwest, east coast, the sight of out Stockholm pre-winter, winter, and post-winter videos really makes me giggle. It's a shitty climate to live in, 9 months of the year, but we do BBQ no matter what. BBQ on!

Hank, I love your grill! I am an Argentinian living in the US. My backyard is rather small so I think your grill would be perfect for it! Anyway you can send me the plans? I love how you grilled this steak. Grilling in Argentina is about the experience. People gather around the grill and chat with the "asador" (grill master) while eating a "picada" (kind of like Spanish tapas) and enjoy a sip of wine or mate. You took me back to Argentina for a bit! thanks!

Hi thanks for the video - really loved it! Just a quick question, when you refer to medium heat, approximately what heat do you think the steak was cooking at? When I reverse sear, I slow cook at 275F. Is medium heat about 350F then?

Get Adolf I would say 45-60 minutes. Perhaps not for weekdays, but on a weekend I really enjoy spending the time, tending to the fire and cooking on it.

@@HanksTrueBBQ That's not too bad. There's usually other stuff to do in the meantime when preparing dinner. I use my wood fired oven as a grill sometimes, the technique is similar as your grill. What's your opinion on the versions with adjustable height?

Yes - I had same question which I just asked above. Would be great to know so I can ensure I cook it perfectly and not dry it out
