I would love for them to have a long, happy marriage, but Grey's doesn't like happy, lasting marriages. They either marry their couples then create massive divorces (Callie and Arizona, Jackson and April, Matthew and April, Alex and Izzie, Alex and Jo, Cristina and Owen, Owen and Amelia, and Maggie and Winston, just to name a few) or they end it by killing one or both characters off (Meredith and Derek, Mark and Lexie, Izzie and Denny, Maggie and Winston). The other couples such as Teddy and Owen, Richard and Catherine, and Nick and Meredith, are so volatile that they become insufferable.
