Gretsch P90 Streamliner: amzn.to/3gqTq3E (affiliate link)
I really like this one you guys! Definitely one to grab and put in your guitar arsenal. P90s with a Bigsby in a semi-hollow, all for around $599. I think it is a deal of a guitar.

    Found this guitar at my local small shop, hoping he still has it when I put together the 500 bucks he was asking. It was a great sounding guitar and I was blown away, especially since I could make decentish music from it and I’m only 3 lessons in. Looking for my first guitar so I could finally give my dad, my grandpas guitar back to him.

    The thing I like about these Gretsch Streamliner semi hollow guitars is that they use a spruce centre block which means they are a lot lighter than most semi's which tend to use a maple centre block.This makes them a good two or three pounds lighter which is very important given the state of my back!

    I find this guitar so appealing. I'm not 100% sure about the pickup sound I'm hearing in these demos. But then you can drop any P90 into those slots so it's hardly a deal-breaker.

  • @Olegstuff21986

    @Olegstuff21986

    The stock P90s actually seem quite good, I think the semi-hollow guitar tends to 'muddy' up the distorted sound a bit. They may be a bit on the 'darker' side, but still a good set of pickups I think.

    I finally got my first Gretsch about a year ago. I now have 4 of them. As a pro player mine are higher end Gretschs, but I'd like to say for entry level players these Streamliners are an incredible value. Beginners will get a guitar that is so comfortable to play and sounds and looks like a higher end guitar that they will get hours and hours of enjoyment from it. Do yourself a favor, though. Get one from a guitar dealer. If there's issues they can fix it for you, unlike Amazon.

    @@davidsala9549 Awesome man. I was thinking of getting it because it's just such a deal at this price point, and from the reviews of this guitar, it seems extremely versatile and can do anything from jazz/blues to rock and metal quite well. The guitar costs less than 500 euros new, so it seems to be a real bargain. Maybe I should sell off guitars I don't that play that much anymore and get this puppy instead. By the way, I already own another Gretsch Streamliner, the G2215 and have modded the original pickups (which weren't bad) with an HS Filtertron and a Tonerider Vintage90 in the neck position. It's a really killer guitar, I think, and with the mods it's even better. So Gretsch does rule. :) Cheers man.

    Whilst I like Gretsch guitars in general, this one is exceptional, and a truly great instrument. It has a quite different sound from other Gretsch electric guitars. As Mr Spock from Star Trek would have said: *'It's a Gretsch, Jim, but not as we know it...'*
