Awesome video Damon. Thank you for the comparison. Can't wait to see how they sound with more gain. I have been planning on getting the Streamliner G2655T. I don't own a semi-hollow and really want one. Gretsch and Schecter have became my 2 favorite brands. They make affordable guitars ($300+) that rival if not beat more expensive Les Paul's or PRS. This is just my opinion. Rock on!

heeeey, I have a 5232T. I've modded the heck out of it, and it's my favorite. :) Roller bridge, TV Jones Classics, locking tuners, chrome arm rest, and more.

I much prefer the sound of the Electromatic jet out of these two. I have a midnight sapphire one.

Both are winners. No wrong choice.

You are of course correct...and very wise!!!

To me, the Electromatic sounds much „bigger“. But the green one has the nicer look.

Hi Paul, One is an Electromatic, A G5232, chambered body, which does have a block down the mideel and a Streamliner G2655T , again Center block.

Hi Paul. The 5420T is more traditional style guitar. Greta for Jazz/Blues/Rockabiilly etc, but not really ideal overdriven. I would look at a 5422, which is totally hollow like a ES330, or the center block version the 5622T. For higher gain purposes the centre block is great for more blues stylings the hollow one is more touch sensitive.

Difference in build quality?

There is of course, everything is built to a budget. However , I do think that both Streamliner amp Electromatics push what is possible in terms of quality and tone at their respective price points. I have use both on big gigs and on sessions.

@@hustlinc3540 better wood, better hardware, definitely better tuners and way better pickups. The Electromatic here is giving you proper Gretsch tone, chambered body as well.
