I'd REALLY LIKE to see what that guitar sounds like with Dynasonic pickups in it. I can't find the video you mentioned that you said you would do with the pickups swapped. I really hope you get a chance to do it.

Thanks for this, nice playing and a lot of great tones! I'm torn between the 5655t and the 2655t with the P90's - assuming they handle about the same (and forgetting the price difference), which do you prefer for sound and versatility? Maybe a little slide on the side too?

  • @damonthegnomeoftonechivers

@@timajax4800 5665t is probably a little more versatile, those filtertrons are cleaner than P90’s, which are more mid range focused. I love p90 but struggle with the noise when driven

Great demo thanks! So i have a question im gonna be buying my first guitar and it will probably be my only guitar for a while. I will mostly be playing 60s 70s classic and prog rock and some metal riffs do you think it's the best fit for me? I can buy this or some fender mim, partscaster, mij, player etc. and all of them will be second hand and about 600 euros. Do you have any recommendations between these or another guitar in your opinion. Anyway thanks again, you rock!

Hi mate! Thanks for watching. I reckon this is the perfectly fit for rock/prog/metal. Pitch e a great mix of clean and classic drive tones , and will do metal as well through a dirtier amp. Also super easy to play as it has a superb neck. Really versatile and groovy

The tonal qualities on the bareknuckles stand out a bit. I'm sure the stainless is nice and the finish on the MJ RG is undoubtedly better, but MiM Charvels are killer and I'm not sure I'd pay over double just for nicer pickups and SS frets. I would love to support Rick, though. He's an amazing dude and incredible guitarist.

I don't get why you couldn't take this guitar to a function or a pop/jazz/country gig..(sound aside). It's a 80's metal throwback, only for the people who knows it.. . And it's not pitch black, with crosses, bones, splattered blood, etc.. On it.. It's a standard shape, not some crazy aggressive shape, and it's colorful. Only aggressive, but wonderful, feature it's the pointy reverse headstock, and the sharkfin inlays.

That is some serious playing. I started playing hair guitar in 1985 when I was 15. I thought I played ok, but you'd get the lead spot over me bigger than schidt. Definitely good stuff. I've got the same guitar in gloss black. It's perfect. Not one complaint.

My first grownup guitar was an ‘85 Fender MIJ Strat w/Floyd Rose. It’s all I played for well over a decade. I didn’t realize you were allowed to own more than one electric guitar (true story). Best playing/sounding guitar ever, and I naively sold it because I thought there was something better out there. There wasn’t. 😭
