It definately could be possible, the only thing being that it'd be very difficult unless they could isolate the vocals and remove them, and from my knowledge only professional studios have access to that kind of equipment due to prices...

I don't know man. if you listen carefuly to songs like Don't Tame Your Soul and Soilbleed you'll notice that they still "scream" as much, the distortion is just reduced making it sound more raw. Some songs are a lot more tame though, like Chemicals + Circuitry, but I like that they're experimenting with their sound!

seeing as how i have the thumbs up here i really should clearify that i still love the album, just a song or two with harsher vocals/tones would have been neat. still enjoy the new sound though.

there's some solid tunes on the track. grendel is just changing up their sound, it's a good thing to do rather than stick to one same tone. seems like the aim here was to increase melody and lessen aggression. grendel have already explored a series of harsher sounds, they're just treading new waters. really do like this album tho. shame serotonin rush/edits of it didn't make it through. =[

But I thought aggrotech was a real way to describe Harsh EBM.

Harsh Generation is my best Grendel album. This is not bad, but I like Grendel, because they really experimenting with sounds, and some other projects/bands having the same sound over and over again. I mean thats the best way to find your original sound path, but thats becomes boring after so many years. And yeah on this album Grendel has some Trance kicks and basslines and I like it. But I really would love to hear those distorted vocals from Harsh Generation and earlier works.
