"fortune bonus of 2" on the miner means that when it's digging up ores affected by the fortune enchantment (small gt ores, vanilla ores) they will drop a bit more stuff basically equalling fortune II on a pickaxe just a reminder that you can recycle stuff like pipes, armor, molds, etc. and even machines (basically check uses in nei for stuff you don't need). macerators aren't great since they don't have enough slots for recycling machines at this stage but even a basic arc furnace seems perfect. it also outputs materials as ingots including steel. some quests give rewards like 6 big pipes which you can recycle and get a good resource boost and yeah big lava slimes drop lots of stuff because they're always infernal and split into lots of slimes. usually when I see one I just put it in a soul vial and deal with later. whenever I see an ultra mob (easy to tell by yellow font at the top) I either kill it right away or also put in a soul vial and deal with later. they're the ones that can drop stuff like diamond blocks, enchanted books, etc I have a feeling that the miner from the nether should've dug up more ore and it might be because you claimed only one chunk while the miner digs in a 2x2 chunk area and once you left the miner was only digging in one chunk. or it might be because mv miner doesn't have enough of a reach. I don't wanna misinform you so I'm gonna say I don't know how this works exactly but I'd recommend being safe and claiming more chunks next time (anchors work too I guess). I'd recommend making an hv miner and placing it in the middle of an ore chunk (press F9 3 times) since veins are basically split into 3x3 chunks in the world. mv miner has less reach and it most likely misses ores that you need I strongly recommend NOT breaking/rotating transformers while they're connected to other blocks that work with electricity (wires, machines, generators, etc.) because otherwise they can explode. the questbook probably goes in a bit more detail but yeah it's not fun when you get an unexpected explosion especially in your base. I think you got lucky

Thank you again for all the information! Right after this episode I realized I could make an HV miner too and thank for the fortune 2 explanation I forgot about small ores and stuff. I will claim some more chunks around the miner, that makes sense. I have had a couple explosions because I forgot to cover my machines…. I did notice when placing the miner down at the end of the episode I had the transformer backwards… that was almost bad lol.

Nice video. liked it. Have you considered playing with bees? I just came across another people playing gtnh and it seams, bees are pretty usefull passive helpers

Oh yeah. I want to start bees soon. I just gotta figure out where I want to put it in the base. As soon as I get that figured out (at least temporarily) I am diving into bees. Thank you for watching and the like!
