Yeah but it kinda was the point. Even Rebecca doesnt look like start of season one rebecca and he feels and looks fresher and healthier but that's just my opinion

Santino’s Greg seems to be a lot older and more jaded than everyone else, while still being extremely immature which made him a lot sadder. Skylar was fresher and felt like his humor got more “millennial.” Liked both though.

i really liked the chemistry between rachel and santino, so i miss that. but the way they brought skylar in was hilarious, and he's awesome. i just dont like him with rebecca as much

Oof, seeing the two Gregs together in the same video makes me feel bad for Greg 2.0. He did a good job but Holy shit was Santino a tough act to follow. All the best songs, best character, superbly acted. He provided the much needed anchor to Rebecca's world of insanity and when he left the show it lost a key ingredient. Diet Greg just isn't Greg.

I cannot help but actually sigh every time I hear "It Was a Shit Show". It is too beautiful and heartbreaking. I've gotten over every breakup in my life, but I'm not sure I'll ever get over this scene.

I Hate Everything But You is Skylar's best but it's just not Greg's genre tbh despite how much I love the song. Greg's got more subtle hatred and the song just spells it out. On another note IT WAS A SH*T SHOW IS ONE OF THE BEST OF THE SETIES

I think I Hate Everything is more Rebecca projecting what she thinks Greg thinks. So it's not Greg being explicit about what he hates, it's Rebecca reading him as hating everything

Yeh plus it is also not in Greg’s character to sing a gospel song about utis but he did plus doulas had a different range from santino so his songs are going to sound different.

literally all of his solo are masterpieces

Mostly agreed with everything, but It Was A Shit Show is hands down the best Greg song, I'd even argue it to be the best of the whole series. The comedy laced with sadness and sung by Santino's amazing voice is just fantastic

Honestly because of the recast I couldn’t truly get into season 4. Greg is my fav character so him being so different just was a huge dissatisfaction with the final season.

Greg is such a #mood. See what I did there? Seriously though the more I think about it I see how much of a relatable character he is. I never really paid attention to the lyrics in what'll it be? (Hey west Covina) in the past but I found myself tearing up listening to it lately. I've always related to I could if I wanted to. The first time I heard that song I thought wow that sounds like one of my rants. Also I agree with your list either way it's too hard to choose between "shit show" and "Settle for me." The reprise punches me right in the gut every time

This just shows how much santino made the show great - there was a big missing hole in the show when he left and Skyler (though he did a great impression) just didn’t stack up..your top 3 are 3 of the best songs on the entire show!

Don't crucify me for this - My facial recognition abilities are so bad that at first I literally didn't even recognise that Greg was a different actor in the last season. I was super confused by all the jokes alluding to it until I googled it. Honestly, I think they're both great and can't really understand everyone saying Skylar pales in comparison. But then..I didn't even notice so...what do I know

I just need to start this comment with the fact that I am unhealthily obsessed with Skylar Astin and I really only found this show because of him… When I first started watching this show, I was mostly waiting for season four (for Skylar). Then, I started to get attached to Santino Fontanna and the way he played Greg. Sitting there watching him for the first two seasons, I thought about how both Skylar and Santino have similar mannerisms (based off of Skylar’s portrayal of Jessie in Pitch Perfect and Santino’s portrayal of Greg). I still haven’t seen Skylar as Greg yet, because I am still binging the show for the first time… I have a feeling that Skylar will do well (as well as you can after replacing someone so iconic in the show). The fact that I identified their similar mannerisms gives me hope for Skylar’s “Greg”.

Am I the only one who really liked Skylar Astins reprise it what’ll it be?

I love skylar astin! I think both actors are well on the role but I prefer skylar he's so handsome,talented and he looks so fun to be around

Yeah, all of them then... :) I like your order but I'd probably have What'll it Be first and I Could if I wanted To higher, mostly due to "I'd rather die...which I will, eventually, of course.." *crosses fingers and looks skywards* haha, oh Greg.

JUST because, he’s a completely different character and original greg is my favorite character on the show so he’s unbeatable. What’ll it be, 6. i gave you a UTI (btw these are all some of my fav songs in the series and i gave you a UTI is still one of the best ever)
