If anyone is interested, I made a new video on my channel of Rebecca and Greg: the full story. It has both Greg's in it!

What was so great about them was that - unlike with Josh - Rebecca was never obsessed with Greg, like at all. She simply and naturally fell for him, for his charms and the way he respected her and made her feel loved and at home. Their relationship, albeit flawed (mostly by their individual flaws than by flaws in their chemistry) was probably the healthiest one Rebecca ever had. Man I miss them two so much... Not to mention Santino's BEAUTIFUL singing voice that just can't be matched by any of the other guys on the show.

i'm watching this show like five years after it's release because of the coronavirus and actually sobbing rn to this. i have never cried so much from a love story in a show, i am so team greg played by santino :(((((!!!

I'm glad you decided to watch! Yeah I remember finding out he wasn't going to be on the show anymore and being heartbroken. Greg is such a great character and love interest :(

I really needed to see this montage to fall in love with Greg all over again. I turned into team Nathaniel over time. Greg is the one for Rebecca. ❤️. 😢

1:59 this scene honestly is probably my favorite Greg moment in the show, because he is so protective and is genuinely worried about her since he thinks she got hurt or something happened in some way. Granted that moment was ruined when he saw josh's name on the fondue bag, but I just think its a great Grebecca moment and a good "Greg actually cares" moment

I love that scene! And his speech about always going by her patio just breaks my heart. So much said in that one sentence!

I still love them so much. I feel like they could have worked on their issues together, and it would have been easier for both of them had they had each other... I never liked Josh with Rebecca for a second, she needs someone smart and funny like Greg. She was a lot less 'crazy' with him, and she made him believe in himself and in choosing a new future. God I miss them.

i am now ugly crying in my bed and i just watched the series finale yesterday and i know things got better but man, it REALLY was tough and heartbreaking in the beginning

Greg is clearly endgame. She was single but made it clear she still loved Greg in her ‘break up’ with them all, so as long as he’s still single when she is ready to settle down, they will be endgame.

The show was Amazing but I have to say that I was gutted they didn’t end up together. I can understand why the break up was necessary, They both had to work on themselves and figure things out which they did... Rachel Bloom we need a reunion episode or movie and see the two of them together PLEASE! And as much as I love Skylar Astin (and his acting was great) we need Santino to reprise the role!

I one hundred percent understand that she couldn't end up with anyone, because that was the moral of the show. She needed to help herself. But that being said, if they are leaving it up to open interpretation, she definitely gets with Greg later in my mind. Santino was so perfect that Skylar just couldn't fill that void, even if I do love him as an actor.

@@stefanib.4283 it definitely felt like she’ll end up with him. Their final date and the way she said they can’t be together was different than the other two. She was telling him she can’t be with him, yet.

i've been thinking about rewatching the show but i just started fully sobbing from this 6-minute video, so i don't think i'm strong enough lol

Josh and Rebecca’s story was much more of a shit show

Because Santino Fontana got a different gig cause he didnt think the show wpuld get renewed and they were im the dark about that for a while. So when they got a season 2 thwy had to write him out

I considered not finishing the show once Santino left. He was my favorite character. I’m really glad I did bc it’s a great show and Rebecca’s character growth is amazingly written but I still wish I existed in the same universe in which Santino was in all 4 seasons. I would have loved to see Greg’s growth and journey on screen.

I actually quit watching for a few weeks when he left, and then I decided to jump back on. I'm also glad I did. All of the other characters were amazing, and the writing is so good that it kept me glued to the show. It would have been nice to see an episode that was just about Greg and how he overcame his addiction

If they were both whole and healthy people I would ship it but I’m glad they split up because it really was the healthiest and maturest decision

Team Nathaniel and Greg always, they compliment eachother too well

I’ve only seen some episodes while they were on the cw and seeing this made me sad I was trying to find the clip where Rebecca says fuck my butterfly or something around those lines and now I’m here 😂😭

Hey, it took a while but I did make another version of this with both Greg's in it. It's on my channel!

I spent 5 days (no sleeping) to see all 4 seasons!!! And she didn't end with Georg???!!!😭😭😭 and to be honest I prefer the chemistry between Rebecca and George 1!!!

He is an alcoholic, which is something he had to fix before being in a serious relationship. It takes over your life and effects the one's you love too, such as in the wedding scene. Because of this, it caused him to be emotionally dismissive and competitive as well as jealous over her. All these things make the character feel so human which is why I love him. Rebecca was much worse than Greg, but both had too many problems to fit together. I think at the end, they would have been perfect though (preferably if Greg was still played by Santino since I loved their chemistry)

@@fionadeguzman1089 as soon as they got together, he became less caring. before, he would tell her that he liked her a lot and always ask how she was and if she was okay etc. but as soon as they were a couple, he was strangely distant. like when he ruffled her hair before he left instead of giving her a propper kiss or a hug. and, when he did act all casual about her uti and did not worry about her in the slightest (I love the song but his reaction afterwards was a bit strange). these were only small signs but the issue became obvious in the hospital when he met Josh and was worrying about not being good enough for Rebecca (his baloon monolouge). As soon as he had Rebecca, he was incredibly insecure about everything. I would not call him toxic but definitely a guy with issues. It's like he says in "this was a shitshow": he neglected her. all of that came from his own problems, self hate and insecurity. that does not make him a bad person or toxic, in my opinion. just a guy with issues. and if he was with a very mentally stable woman, they would probably have worked it out but since they both were so broken, as they even said in the pilot, it was doomed from the start in a way. I believe that neither of them should have been in a relationship without them working their own problems out first, which is exactly what Greg does in the end. that's what makes the breakup and him leaving so bittersweet. it's the right choice but it's heartbreaking. I would call him neglectful and unobservant. Uncaring in a way, at least on the outside. And if you don't know why that is (the audience knows but Rebecca doesn't) it can come off as toxic. Their relationship wasn't healthy becaue they did not talk about their issues. And even though we know Greg cared and he loves her, his actions did not reflect that. (I just started watching the show a week ago and am still heartbroken about their breakup)

@@Sabrina-vc9yt it's not that she didn't care about him getting hurt... It's that she didn't know he would...They weren't an exclusive couple and Greg's reaction when she confessed her feelings did nothing to change that...So, Rebecca had no obligation to not sleep with Josh
