Greenwich Hydraulic Platform And Pump Turnout - London Fire Brigade

A P reg hydraulic platform turning out from Greenwich fire station with the pump ladder. Although the R reg platforms are more commonly seen at a station the P regs have spent most of their life at workshops since being refurbished. Unfortunately when the new aerial appliances arrive these vehicles will be decommissioned from service and disposed of.

The old Volvo siren reminds me of the first London's Burning sirens, after two-tone disappeared.

Reruns on during the day on drama I think. Stopped watching after thay replaced the two tones

My god this brings back memories I remember going to this station back in the 1960's I was about 5 or 6 with my grandmother and watching the A.E.C Merryweather turntable tender turning out. I thought Greenwich station would have been closed by now
The siren on the Volvo reminds me of London's Burning.
Please put the woodway commander 3 siren in a fire museum, it needs to be stored for future generations to knowledge

Is that a taped broken window on the 2nd story of the building?
where are they disposed of ?
Is that a whelen speaker on the hp’s roof? The woodway must be getting scrapped if that’s the case.
When did you guys lose the hi-lo siren/horn? Love those and I think they work way better than our style sirens

Old two's were better !!now it's all generic you don't know what's coming till you have eyes on

One of the HP’s has been sent to Limerick, and is also a 98 plate. However I don’t think it’s this particular HP, as I have found a photo of one but it’s retained the older woodway siren speaker, as opposed to the new Whelen SA315 speaker on the one in the video.
