Greenline 45 Fly Hybrid Test Drive, Tour & Review | YachtBuyer
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Greenline 45 Fly is one of the cleverest and most versatile flybridge cruisers in its sector.
Available as a hybrid, all-electric, traditional shaft drive or IPS boat and with a variety of different lower deck layouts it offers the sort of customisation you would expect of boats with a much higher price tag.
Designed by Greenline in partnership with J&J Design and Marco Casli, who is responsible for the fresh, bright interior, the classy 45 Fly is a line in the sand for the Slovenian shipyard.
The hybrid version, which teams a pair of 370hp Yanmar diesels with a pair of 14kW motors and a 40 or 80kWh battery bank, will hit a top speed of 6.5 knots in electric mode and cover 25nm at 5 knots. Fire up the diesel engines and it will crack 23 knots.
On board, the standard arrangement comprises two generous ensuite cabins with walk-in wardrobes, but they can be replaced by a third cabin with either a single berth, twin bunks or a small double.

What a complete review. Jack is right up with Cap Steve. Great knowledge and presentation on camera. Well done.

Thanks very much, that’s kind of you - Jack
Great review again Jack! Hybrid for me for all the reasons you mention. Calmer low speed experience whilst being kinder to the marina/river environment without losing the seagoing ability of the diesel power.

Hybrid! w/hardtop -love it! Teak finish though!
Hi Jack, I saw that they gave you my boat for this test. It´s the "Chili" and is based now for charter in Biograd, Croatia. Great video - thank you for that. After a 140 Nm trip from Slovenia to Biograd at average 18 knots and quite rough conditions I can comfirm the impressive stability of the hull and the unbelieveable low niose level inside.

Congratulations on the new boat and thanks for agreeing to the test! That sounds like a proper shakedown trip… Happy boating! - Jack
I would order the 45 Fly with hardtop and additional solar as well as the Hybrid extended range with the generator to run slow all day with the electric and the generator for maximum efficiency. About 5.5 knots at approximately 0.666 GPH forever. It makes sense to me.
I love the depth and thoughtfulness of your reviews. The Greenline looks like a brilliant boat, and I'd have the hybrid for all the reasons you noted. The smell of diesel fumes from even quite new boats is more than a bit antisocial around the marina.

I’m like you, this boat is underrated compared to the others. The coupe is my favorite and the option of that office in the second cabin is awesome.
Well done as always, Jack! I like this one very much. Maybe you found the best competitor to the Princess F45.
Hybrid is the only way to go.
Great presentation as usual jack thank you

Top review Jack 👍👍👍 Not a bad boat at all, in fact it’s rather good. the Hybrid gets my vote, as they always do when the options allow

Thanks Nick, appreciate that. - Jack
I'd definitely go for the hybrid, with extra mfd's.

Happy Easter
What a gorgeous boat especially the exterior profile and for me I'd choose the 3 cabins with the smaller diesel engines. When a boat like this can do at least 300nm at 8 to 10 knots on electric engines, that's when electric would interest me but either way my ability to purchase and own this boat is a bit like the lower helm throttles, 'a bit of a stretch away'. 🤣😂🤣👍 Brilliant vid 👍❤️🇬🇧
Jack, just love the fact you test these yachts. We get a captains view in handling with the addition of a features review included. I would probably take the IPS model. The hybrid model would not be my top choice.

Hi, what are the additional safety features to mitigate the risks from malfunctioning/fire from the substantial battery packs?
If I had the money 100% hybrid , brilliant review of a boat I wouldn't of seen , ty ... jules

@@Yachtbuyerloved it Jack , best channel on KZread, would it be possible in a future review to do the galeon 510 or 560 sky versions , for the uk the sky versions seem so much better than a flybridge version , thank you jack... jules

Like the hybred versions used as Jack suggested. The 425 is s good arounder good package. .
Am surprised to find I prefer the 40, but nice review, thanks.
Thanks Jack! I'd consider the hybrid after it isn't a "prototype" anymore.
I prefer the hybrid model. If this could be offered as a sport fishing model, it would be a game changer.
Great review jack 👍👍I would like the hybrid something different. The build quality of green line , does it measure up to princess or fairline standards?? Congratulations on your own channel watching you from San Francisco😀

Thanks for the support Michael, much appreciated. Build quality isn’t quite up there with those brands but then neither is the price 😉 - Jack
Will like it now, but enjoy it later...
Ive been looking into greenline yachts for a while now and the most attractive feature is the hybrid system, so I know what I would go for. Personally would spec out the non-flybridge option for more solar panel use.

Flybridge with hard top has the most solar.
Great boat, I'd have the 2 cabin version, hybrid is great in theory but how can you justify an outlay of £160k to travel just a few knots in silence and be a bit quieter at anchor. Maybe it will be forced on us soon with legislation.
Yanmar ❤ thats the reason for the low noises
This boat packs the features of a 60' in a 45 ' - finding dock space for a 60' is much more difficult than a 45' . There must be away a hard top can be made to go up and down with all the actuators that are in the market place - making it a intercostal :loop friendly boat with the most solar capacity.
This is decent and Nautistyles did a review of the coup with Udo and raved about it. I didn't see it. Wasn't all that impressive in my opinion. It was nice and all that, but not worth it to me!
I'd prefer if they called it a Greenline 50. Why? Because it has a LOA of 51 ft and paying close to a €1Mil for a 45 just seems wrong 😀😉
I love the boat... The interior is blah.
This hull is far from the original hull of Green line!!!Very much like other boats which are ugly and rough riding.Sad to see a unique brand with its unique elegant hull design being changed!Ugly design and out of date
