Greenhouse addition to my Log Cabin | Timber Frame (Ep5)
Learning timber framing by doing. The plan I made seems to work nicely if the timber is straight and uniform. In this project I'm using dry timber to make sure it won't warp after the glass is installed.

A lovely build as always! I don't understand the non-aligning of the dowel holes, rather than drilling through all in-situ. If it's not too late can you cover that in the next video?

It's a technique called draw boring, the hole in the tenon is offset 3-5mm towards the shoulder of the tenon. That way once the peg is driven in it draws the joint up tight.
It’s not gonna fall down that’s for sure! Interesting to see what you do for glass, old windows or plain glas 4 mm securit!?

I had some old windows but as it started to look like a massive project I guess it's worth buying some better glass :D
