A modern power tool meets a classic design. We use Origin to create a Greene and Greene inspired coffee table that highlights the precision and versatility of our tool in the craft of fine furniture building. Constructed from Sapele wood using mortise and tenon joinery, this build was almost entirely done on Workstation. We paid special attention to the elaborate bread board ends and the elegantly curved Wenge plugs that makes this style so unique. All made reliably accurate and repeatable thanks to Origin

Great video~! Love the Greene and Greene design~!!
I love Greene and Greene furniture and architecture. You need to check out the Gamble House in Pasadena.
What a great idea using festool clamps to assist with the workstation. Will definitely take that on. Thanks Shaper. Steve at Devon Woodshop England.
That's good stuff... now if I only could afford the wood... (BTW: Shaper owner & trained chair-builder here)

can you estimate how much this wood would cost where you live?
Love the video
Nice, will this be put on shaperhub?
Awesome table...awesome tool! Origin is the bomb...
Beautiful
Great editing!
Uhm, yeah.... that's just brilliant. Also, gorgeous! Solid work 👍🏼
That’s awesome!
Super
Such a beautiful video - so calming, thank you! Are you willing to reveal how long it took you to build the table and shoot the video?

Great video. I think you missed a great opportunity by not using housed mortises like the original furniture utilized. It's a wonderful detail and seems like Shaper Origin would make short work of incorporating them into this project. I'm not belittling your work by any means; beautiful table! Thanks.
Hey guys dont know if you'll see this but will you share the files used in this project? I can use a lot of them in my current project. thanks
I just got my Shaper and am super excited to use it for a bunch of joinery in my next project! One question: your mortises look very square - are you just using a small bit, or doing any chiseling to square them off, or is there something I'm missing?

All the joins in this video were cut with a 1/8" bit on the finishing pass, which gets some pretty sharp corners! They'll still be 1/16" radii but standing back they look pretty angled.
Can you add this to shaper hub?
Svg files?
