I loved this!! It's so difficult to find this kind of content for Germany so seeing a fellow German witch doing this is really helpful!!!!

Such a helpful video. I have never had luck with lavender but plan to give it another try in the Spring now that I have seen this. I think I didn't have the right soil composition.

Great video! I just started working in my garden and I want my plants to be healthy and happy. I am trying to learn as much as possible so I do a good job for my plants. I love the idea of a "green grimoire," I am going to get myself a blank journal to write things in as I learn. Hopefully I can find a cool one with a green cover. Thanks for uploading!

The witches' cookery I will! I changed the account name just today from Fireside Witch to Wayward Witch! Yesterday was my 50th and I have been known as Fireside for the past 25yrs... new phase of life, new name!! I just purchased a computer a few weeks ago and have to get a few more technical thing a magigs 🤓😆 and am trying to tame the beast known as DaVinci Resolve 🤣 but, the short answer is yes! Tomorrow I am making embossed rose cookies to mend rifts and sweeten the path between my mom and I for Mother’s Day 🙏🏽🥰

Very interesting. Food for thought and I feel with the correct research as recommended steps I will be successful in making my herbs of choice happy. That’s my goal. If my plants are happy, I will be too. Thanks.

Am I the only one who has more success starting from seed? Haha... My chilli and lime plants from seeds I saved from food scraps have lasted 4 years, the herbs I buy and repot die within a matter of months. The rosemary I got from my aunt that she grew from seed did ok, but it's not thriving. Decided to buy herb seeds and give that a go. So far, all going well.

That's amazing! It is so rewarding when you grow them from seeds 🌱 I do that with veggies but a lot of the herbs I will buy as babyplants (because I am suuuper impatient and want to use them immediately 😂)

@@Thewitchescookery It is really cool to see the baby plants sprout out from the soil! ^_^ The other thing is I live in a flat, so my theory is, if I grow them from seed, they are accustomed to the light and the area they are in, but if I buy them from a store, they're used to really great conditions so they can't transition to the new environment... My chillis took 2 years to fruit but it was worth it! They are super productive! :D

Herbs that you like and would use a lot are great to start with. Personally, I grow basil, cilantro, parsley and chives indoors as I love them in my cooking

I love this and I want to grow a garden in my balcony, but I’m afraid to death of the bees 🐝

Oh I totally get it - I am super allergic to bees and find them annoying 😁 but luckily they don't get attracted by most herbs as they lack the sweet pollen and blossoms - or you can purposely plant some stuff that repels them like Geraniums or Roses :)
