I've been juicing for 20 yrs now and have used many different juicers depending on the items to be juiced. I've been using the J2 for 3 months now and can say that it is the best all around juicer for juicing all different types of fruits and veggies. Remember to load in the leafy greens first then fruits then hard veggies. Good Luck!

I want to thank you! I'm a beginner juicer, and one of your videos taught me that I could juice romaine hearts! Today I had a celery stalk, romaine heart, a few leaves of kale and a half a small lime to sweeten and it was so lovely! I bought a Sana 727 and I just love it so far! Your videos helped me figure out what to buy that was right for me. I did do a small fruity juice earlier this AM, jicama, carrot, grapefruit, ginger. My eyes seem to like that one, I suffer a lot from dry eye and irritation because of that. Mostly I do green though! FWIW, the taste from the Sana is so nice even my sweet tooth husband has been able to drink the juice without flinching. I just wish we had a better produce department at the store. But we live north, and it's a small rural town, so I take what I can get. Next year, I think I'm going to have to try growing some of my own greens.

This is one of the very best videos on juicing because these green juices are keto friendly and low sugar abd packed with chlorophyll and vitamins and minerals. I drink green low sugar juices like this. If anyone has blood sugar issues like myself avoid juicing carrots , beets and all sweet fruits except cucumbers and lemons or limes. I reversed pre diabetes with this strategy and eat green salads with nuts and seeds and green berry smoothies. I dilute my green juices with spring water or cold plain unsweetened green tea with apple cider vinegar and Ceylon Cinnamon to lower blood sugar levels. I juice greens regularly buy wish it would reverse hairloss. It doesn't unfortunately. I am not Keto but low sugar green juices in moderation is safer.

I'm a beginner, only juicing since Father's Day 2023 with the Sana 727 and I made the best tasting green juice today! Big, beautiful bunch of beet greens, a romaine heart, a smaller than usual English cucumber and half a lemon with peel. My *green* juice was positively *brown* because of the red stems of the beet greens. But the taste was GREAT! The funny part was that I had an apple all ready to core and chop on my cutting board as I thought all those greens would need sweetening, but I completely forgot about it! And the first sip told me the apple wasn't necessary at all and might've ruined it. So 4 ingredients, but yeah, simple is often best! The apple got returned to the fridge, I'll use it with some red cabbage instead. Quantity surprised me. I almost overflowed the 2 cup Pyrex measure and then probably got another third cup or so after putting that into my Sana crystal glass. Happy juicing everyone! And here's to happy juicing discoveries!

Hey John. Could you do a video juicing cabbage with the Nama 2 versus another vertical style juicer like Omega, Tribest, or Kuvings? I'm trying to start juicing cabbage regularly and unfortunately my vertical style juicer (an older Omega VRT, which I love, don't get me wrong) has a pretty small feed chute. I'm trying to find something to make the process much simpler and quicker.

I've been doing some nutrition calcs for the juices I sell. Biggest drawback on fruit juices is of course the high sugar content, but not all veggies are created equal either. Celery and Cucumber are practically worthless compared to a bag of Spinach or Kale. If you can tolerate ten extra grams of sugar (which even a diabetic can handle), it's actually better to have a mildly fruity juice with a lot of spinach/kale than a pure green juice that is mostly cucumber. Collard greens are very good, and watercress is insane if you can get your hands on it.

While foods like celery and cucumbers can have very low calories and fewer nutrients than dark leafy greens, they can have valuable phytochemicals that are not accointed for when looking at traditional nutritional breakdowns.. For example celery has apigenin, which is a flavonoid that has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. C elery also contains other phytochemicals such as coumarins and phthalides. Coumarins are known to have anti-tumor and anti-coagulant properties, while phthalides are believed to help lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of stroke. One of the most notable phytochemicals in cucumbers is called cucurbitacin, which belongs to a group of compounds known as triterpenoids. Cucurbitacins are known to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and are believed to have potential in cancer prevention and treatment. Cucumbers also contain other phytochemicals such as flavonoids, lignans, and tannins. Flavonoids have been shown to have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects, while lignans have been associated with reduced risk of certain cancers such as breast and prostate cancer. Tannins, on the other hand, have been shown to have antibacterial properties and may help protect against certain types of infections.

Yes correct Sir. John is absolutely correct about increasing the greens, and changing the juices up to expand the nutrients and prevent immunity. I also dilute my green juices with spring water or cold plain unsweetened green tea. Juicing sweet fruits and carrots and beets is very dangerous because they spike glucose levels and this promotes diabetes. I juice leafy greens and celery and or cucumbers, and lemons or limes in moderation . But I love juicing leafy greens however too much leafy green juices can damage the liver or kidneys. So I juice leafy greens diluted with spring water or cold plain unsweetened green tea with apple cider vinegar and Ceylon Cinnamon to lower blood sugar levels twice a week and once a week I do a cucumber , Lemon Ginger Juice, while I eat salads with nuts and seeds daily and blend smoothies. Unfortunately my hair loss is worsening.

I know you talk about the I wish I would have done things a little differently but as new people trying to improve their health telling them to do an all green juice may not be a good way to begin. It took me years to be able to tolerate green juices and that was after drinking them first with fruits then slowly eliminating the sweeter things, the first time I juiced kale I thought it looked like and tasted like green paint, and to be honest I still do and can barely drink it with other greens mixed in. I really I would have said no way this is not for me, if I tried only greens in the beginning before I could slowly develop an appreciation for it, even now I would prefer to do kale a little celery some cucumber and a green apple to help it go down.

  • @discountjuicers

You can add any fruits like you would like. I generally dont like to add lemon, as I feel it makes green juice taste worse. OF course adding oranges or pineapple will make the green juice taste sweeter, but also reduce the amount of vegetables you are drinking because you are adding fruit. But if adding fruit will get you to drink green juice that you would not otherwise, then go for it. The goal of this video is to make a mild tasting green juice without fruit so you can lose more weight and get better benefits by drinking more vegetables. I encourage you to eat fruit whole or vacuum blending them instead of juicing them.
