Green Hungarian Komplex Rail M61 stops with its fast train in Sümeg

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

On some weekends, the Hungarian Railways organize a retro weekend. Historic diesel locomotives class M61 (Nohab, “Bulldog”), class M62 (“Szergej”), class M41 (“Rattle”), some double headed, and steam locomotive 424-247 transport regular trains and can therefore be used with a normal ticket. Some of the carriages are also historical. Sümeg is actually not in the action area, but the fast train from Szombathely to Keszthely was hauled by a M61. The Nohab diesel locomotive assigned to this service rolled before as Di 3.629 of NSB (Norwegian Railways) on the tracks, she took the number with her to Komplex Rail, so she is using the ordinal number 618-629 (92 55 0618 629-3 H-KR), which is somewhat unusual for Hungary. The most famous sight of Sümeg is the castle, which is enthroned on a hill above the town and which you can see at the very beginning. Today, jousting tournaments and various events take place in the renovated walls of the ruins.
