I would absolutely lose it if they played a Dookie only concert, Dookie is by far my favorite Green Day album

Nah, most underrated song in Dookie is Emenius Sleepus, which I rarely see people talk about. At least Pulling Teeth gets some recognition still.

I love how this song shows that abuse can happen to men by women. We always hear about abusive men but very rarely hear about the other side of the coin.

Definitely the best song on Dookie. This is where they showed their roots. Could have just as easily been written in 1964 as 1994. This song is what proved they wouldn't be one hit oneders and that they were headed for the hall of fame.

Love this song. Even as a kid in '95, I could never understand why they didn't play half of Dookie live. So many classics completely ignored while they just played the same 6 or 7 songs over and over and over again. I saw them around 15 times between '95 and 2013 and it was pretty much always the same set from each album. It's weird cos now 25 years+ later, I have zero urge to hear them playing Longview or Bastket Case ever again. But I'd kill to hear the rest of the album. I managed to catch the warm up for this Reading show the week before at Brixton, it was a trip and half to hear that stuff. Having a Blast, Pulling Teeth, Sassafras Roots, In The End. I get giddy just remembering it hahaha. Come on Green Day, sort your frickin' setlists out!

I'm all busted up Broken bones & nasty cuts Accidents will happen But this time I can't get up She comes to check on me Making sure I'm on my knees After all she's the one who put me in this state. Is she ultra- violent Is she disturbed? I better tell her that I love her Before she does it all over again Oh god, she's killing me For now I'll lie around Hell that's all I can really do She takes good care of me Just keep saying my love is true. Is she ultra-violent? Is she disturbed? I better tell her that I love her Before she does it all over again Oh god, she's killing me. Looking out my window for Someone that's passing by No one knows I'm locked in here All I do is cry For now I'll lie around Hell that's all I can really do She takes good care of me Just keep saying my love is true...

+Mitchthemysteryman Well in fairness, here he's recently sober, his voice is still kind of shot from the rehab and everything, and also singing a song you did in your 20s whilst in your 40s isn't easy. Even for Green Day songs. So when you take all that into account, he's sounding pretty good.

  • @zookacchi

+BuzzsawMoviesLtd I agree. Also, singing for 2 hours almost everyday in different places can tire you out, you know. Billie's voice here isn't that punchy like it was in 2004 but he's still rocking out and singing awesomely.

dakota Find me a video of Jason performing with them pre Warning era. If I remember correctly, Waiting on Letterman was the first time Jason ever actually played with them. He's been a friend of the band their whole lives, that much I get. But like I said, any song off Nimrod or before should just be the original 3

HLGCeltic24 "Bro, I'm serious.. shut the fuck up. You obviously have no clue about music, production or live performance whatsoever. With Jason in the band, Billie has more freedom, having the ability to cut back on the guitar during thinner guitar parts, focusing more on singing. And the other parts, the guitars sound heavier and thicker with two players/guitars. The whole band is better with two guitar players, that's why they fucking introduced him into the band in the first place fuck-knuckle. And no, he isn't only there for touring because they made him a proper member of the band in 2012. Just take you and your fucking nostalgia back to 1992 for a minute when Green Day had only one guitarist and were nowhere near the band they are today, and live your life in the past you uneducated mother fucker. And now we wait for the dick-spoon response given to us by HLGCeltic24 OR he'll be too ashamed to respond and pussy-waddle over into 1992's corner." - CreatureQuake 2014

CreatureQuake Dude you're such a hardass man. Like seriously you totally know everything there is to know about everything. If you're seriously going to talk about Billie having more freedom because there's mother guitar player, fine I'll give you that. But if you're implying that Billie has more fan interaction now than before then you're a fucking idiot. Watch any Green Day concert from the 90's/2000 ad Billie is all about that with or without Jason. Maybe he isn't firing squirt guns into the crowd like he does now, but the interaction has always been there. I'm not living in the past when I say Green Day was better in the 90's than they are now. I still love the band, but anyone who's old enough to low the real Green Day would agree. I'm probably wrong, but if I had to guess you discovered Green Day when they came out with American Idiot, because I do think that everyone would agree that 1992 Green Day is far better than today. And man, come up with some better insults. Fuck-knuckle? Great one. Uneducated? I won't brag but if I had to guess I probably have 10x the education you'll ever have. And by the way, one one who quotes themselves is a total douche.

Oh .. well I guess you have women falling over you now. Disappointing that you mocked your own words. I’ve thought for a long time that male band lyrics are just stealing womens words.
