Green beans with ham

Today I present a dish as traditional as it is tasty. With an intense flavor, it is one of the traditional Spanish dishes where vegetables and spices typical of this land are combined with its emblem: ham.
Do not hesitate to make it. You will turn a plate of boring boiled beans into a dish worthy of the most demanding guests.
You can use it as a first course or even as an accompaniment to meats. You will not be disappointed.

These beans are as long as they are tender. If you can buy them or grow them, I recommend you to do it. You will love them.
Cut them small, don't leave them too long. Think that the more open ends they have, the better they will be impregnated with the flavor of the other ingredients.
As for the paprika, you can use the typical sweet paprika, but if you add the smoked paprika it will give you a very different touch. It is worth trying it.
As I indicate in the video, it is better not to add salt. Think that the ham has a lot of it and that when it is cooked it releases it. It is better to rectify at the end than to overdo it.
The onion is good to cut it into small squares so that, when we have the finished dish and we are going to eat it, we find it, we notice it. Apart from the flavor it gives, it also gives a very nice texture.
The garlic, on the contrary, it is better to chop it very finely so that it leaves all its flavor.
