So this is a Testudo turtle from petsmart? So they need 85F at all time pretty much? So you cant let the little fellor in they yard in the spring summertime in missouri? Won' t that be too wet for a testudo ? I only know about 3toed box turtles. But I was looking at the small Testudo at Petsmart. He was so cute or she. BUT i do not know how to take care of a tortoise.

so i am thinking about getting a tortoise and one question it might be dumb, but am i able to get them to be playfull. is it maybe the way i raise them. since i dont know if this might sound rude but just a box in my room with high maintenance. i want it to have a good life but i just want it to be playfull and i wish i could do an outdoor pen but i live in ireland which is not hot and rains alot and i have a dog next door that constantly barks through the fence. so i mostly dont know about the housing. also i have a dog but it is a seperate garden i would lime this to be a longterm pet but is it worth to get when i am in highschool

Love your videos! We just built a tortoise table and it’s inside for our montana winters. What is the best bedding for easy care indoors. We have a horsfield tortoise. Id love your thoughts. The care belongs to my 12 yr old...

Joyce Whitney when I kept my tortoises inside, I used to house them with coconut fiber and top soil but you could also use wood pellets or even aspen shavings although they don't hold humidity well. You can also use reptile bark that does a good job at keeping humidity. If you want, you can even add some spagnum moss for them to have a humid hide. I hope this was helpful and good luck with taking care of your tortoise (^_^)

Let them hibernate in winter. Greek tortoises have no business being indoors at any given time. Keeping them indoors leads to uneven growth and health problems down the line, look it up.

THERE IS NO INDOOR FOR A TORTOISE. Don't listen to this lady. She's killing the poor turtles. CRAP, she talks.
