GREEK STREET FOOD Road Trip Across Crete 🇬🇷 Baklava Factory + Homemade Cretan Food & BBQ!

Today we're going on a Cretan food road trip across the best island for food in all of Greece. We'll be stopping along the way in the town of Vyrses to taste authentic Greek yogurt before continuing to the port town of Rethymnon. Here we visit a master in his element making phylo dough to make baklava. Traditions remain unchanged in this hidden baklava factory. After the baklava it's off to Stella's kitchen for the best plate of Cretan food anywhere in town. Finishing off in Rethymnon we make our way to Stalida bay to meet up with our new friends Angela and Mike. Their hospitality made our trip to Crete unforgettable, and don't get me started on that lamb!!!

Greek yogurt is world-famous, but I didn’t expect it to be particularly attractive when paired with pie! Surprisingly, the dough turned into balloons, that chef is so talented! Baklava is a work of art. I really want to eat it. I feel like I will be happy all day long after just eating one bite! The lasagna also looks delicious. After watching the video, I feel that Greek food is not inferior to that of Italy and France! I’m glad you explained the history of the Abbey and made this video richer! That town is really beautiful, as if traveling through time. Thank you very much for sharing, super great job! 👍🥰👏

@@peonypink7943 So according to your historical sources the Arkadi Monastery massacre never happened? What about Chios massacre with 100.000 dead did that happen or did Eugène Delacroix create the famous painting portaiting the slaughter in 1824 out of the blue? And what about Samothrace (1821), Kos, Rhodes, Psara (1824)? What about the siege of Messolonghi where Lord Byron died? What about the Peloponnese where the city of Patras and Kalamata were raised to the ground? What about the city of Naoussa in 1822 where the entire population was either killed or taken into slavery? What do your historical sources tell us about all that?

turks ended the 3.500 Hellenic Presence in Anatolia. Literally even conducted a pogrom against the last Greeks of Constantinople in the 1950’s. Same on Imbros & Tenedos which had a Semi-Autonomous Status. Your state is very guilty of many crimes. We won’t start to mention the bigger ones like Armenian Gen0cide 🤭 & many others… Even until a few months ago your president said he wants to launch a Ballistic Missile on Athens, a European City of 5 Million People 🤡 Shape up or things will not end well for you! 🦃🤏🏻

Baklava, Doner kebap, yogurt, cacik... and many dishes and desserts you see. All of these belong to Turkey. Unfortunately they stole most of it and treat it like their own food 😂

Riight...because as we all know, the Turks who arrived in Anatolia in the 11th c. were all culinary masters, they brought with them the thin phyllo for baklava (Byzantine), the stuffed vine leaves (Levantine) or the yogurt (Bulgarian)...grow up
