I loved it too, but obviously this, along with 21 and Winning Lines, were the other networks' answers to WWTBAM. I honestly think Millionaire was such a simpler, yet exciting format that these other shows couldn't compete. Just my thought.

There aren't that many Greed episodes on KZread. I say yes, it's nice to see a full episode of Greed for the first time in years.

I used to watch both this game show and Who Wants to Be Millionaire back in Middle School

As for Curtis Warren, what people didn't know or said was that in that million dollar question of his it was updated that Miami Vice was the movie in 2006 and Bewitched was a movie in 2005. However this question was in 2000 when Greed was on the air

Viet Nguyen well I didn't know about Miami Vice, but that would definitely explain why I was screaming Bewitched and couldn't understand why that wasn't right. I've only seen Greed in syndication, so I guess it's a little older than I thought it was.

Can't believe it's already been 16 years since this show, Greed, itself was a contestant on Celebrity Bucket Kickers.

This jammed somewhere at the 43-minute mark but is still audible beyond that point. Uploader, was it this way in the VHS recording? Is there anyway this can be re-uploaded with the picture fixed? EDIT: I now see the comment you posted 4 years ago saying you just wanted AnneMarie's game and i respect that. However, if it is at all possible, i'd still like to see the rest of the Patrice, Jeff, Jeffery, Kyle, and Michael game as well as the Robert vs. Madeline Million Dollar Moment. Thanks.

Curtis is really confident on the $1 million question, he knew the answers, at 12:01 he made a dramatic pause and boom he won it.

Me too. I want to actually see the the Jeff vs. Jeffrey Terminator round that follows, that $500k question about Monopoly, AND that Robert Abramoff vs. Madeline Ali Million Dollar Moment. Madeline was one of my favorite Greed contestants.

On this February 2000 episode of Greed on Fox, Anne Marie becomes a contestant.

Wow, I don't remember a UK contestant appearing on this American game show. Yet there have been UK contestants who appeared in on the US primetime Weakest Link (NBC) and vice versa for the BBC original. Also, I don't think there have been British contestants who appeared on the US "Who Wants to Be A Millionaire?"; I think it was only vice versa. The US contestant that appeared on the British WWTBAM was Jeff Gross, who later appeared in the US syndicated version when Meredith Vieira was around.

Annemarie was a snack and a half 😍

I love that you could hear the audience groan and boo the captain for not going for the million dollar question.

Margann Laurissa i actually miss Greed! It was one of my favorite game shows and was entertaining to watch. I especially loved it better than Millionaire! Another reason I loved this show more than millionaire is because I prefer Chuck Woolery over Regis. I think Chuck is a better game show host. I especially loved the terminator too.

Personally, i think the Freebie removing Day Care Workers was rather obvious. I don't know how it was back in 2000 when this was on but in this day and age day care workers seem to catch a bad rep nowadays because of all the horror stories you see on the news about them abusing children and that sort of thing.

Wow! On both of the $200,000 and $500,000 questions, we get new captains. First it was Mark wants to be captain for the $200,000 question, then it was AnneMarie wants to be captain for the $500,000 question Second time its happening Jeffery wants to be the captain for the $200,000 question and then it was Jeff who wants to be captain for the $500,000 question.

Annemarie is my mom. She's smiling allllllll the way to the bank. Tell joe man she's still smiling :)

Mark blew it. He should have stopped. He had the most money at the time and was the obvious choice for the next Terminator. Then again, he was guaranteed $10K already.

Not always so obvious to go after the captain when he/she has 2/5 of the pot. Another player might not feel comfortable with the category, might feel too much pressure on their shoulders to lead the team, or might feel the captain is too strong a player to go after. Plenty of examples of captains with 2/5 who weren't challenged, and two of them are on youtube: the Taylor Humphries team and in the video of Robert Louie in the million dollar moment his captain Troy wasn't challenged.

You make a good point on the captain part but the 2/5 is still a reason to choose that person vs. someone else when you have a chance to triple your share rather than double your share.

It's one factor among several. You're right from the monetary standpoint, but someone who already won one terminator is ripe to win another one (i.e. George Elias). Another factor is if players are paying attention to their teammates' occupations at the start of the game they won't want to challenge someone whose occupation is related to the question category because that person may be needed to get the question right (i.e. don't try to terminate a travel agent if the category for the upcoming question is travel). Yeah in hindsight Mark "blew it", but contestants on this show were meant to be greedy and confident, and anyone who wouldn't go on to the next question just because they were worried about getting terminated probably should have went on WWTBAM instead.

That is the first time ever for this episode to have new captains on the $200,000 and $500,000 questions - that happens twice in one episode. First, it was Mark who wants to take over David as the captain for the $200,000 question and then it was AnneMarie who wants to take over Mark for the $500,000 question. Everybody has $40,000 except for Mark who has $80,000 plus the $10,000 that he won from the terminator. Both of Penny and Lazier have $100,000 while AnneMarie has $300,000 plus the $10,000 that she won from the terminator. 22:57 Jeffery wants to take over Patrice as the captain for the $200,000 and now it’s Jeff who wants to take over Jeffery for the $500,000 question. Everybody has $40,000 except for Jeffery who has $80,000 plus the $10,000 that he won from the terminator. Both of Kyle and Michael have $100,000 while Jeff has $300,000 plus the $10,000 that she won from the terminator. 45:23

It got cancelled because people preferred Millionaire. I still have not gotten over that. I can't wait for Millionaire to get cancelled.

One big mistake they made was not having a safety net perhaps after the $500K Level! At that level, it would've encouraged more people to go for the million and possibly 2 million dollar questions!

That wasn't a mistake at all. A safety net would make the show look too much like WWTBAM, and loyal viewers of the show liked the fact that it wasn't too much like WWTBAM, which was what I felt like I was watching during the Super Greed run. Avila was the only captain to go for the 7th question with no safety net, which is what makes watching that team so special and legendary. There are two other options I would have considered to entice teams to go beyond $500K without compromising the all-or-nothing dynamic of the show: 1) Give the team another freebie after they win $500K 2) Have a bailout option at the $2M question. There were bailouts at $200K, $500K, a ridiculous bailout at $1M that was almost worth as much as getting the question right, so why did $2M have to be all-or-nothing from the start? What they did to Avila was cruel.

It looked like too easy of a question to use the freebie on. Everyone was stunned as hell when Honey Dijon was wrong. Hopefully the freebie would have eliminated Honey Dijon, which would have still given Mindy a tough decision in the end but at least would have eliminated the false sense of security.

Frankie2Jersey i've seen it happen from time to time. The one example I can think of right now is Skyler, on Whammy and Dog Eat Dog. Anne-Marie was certainly the most memorable though. In fact, this video and its title sent me looking for her appearances on PYL, and my God, those were some of the best and most exciting episodes I've ever seen!

Is it just me or does this show have really abrasive sound effects and graphics? It all seems slightly off-putting.

I'd like to see this show get revived, I doubt Chuck Woolery would host it, since I've heard he's retired from game shows, who would you like to see host it if it were to get revived? I wouldn't mind Mark L. Walberg

As much as I absolutely love Greed beyond what words can describe, I'm disinterested in this show being revived because a lot of shows from past decades being revived or rebooted nowadays seem to always fail to meet the greatness of the original series if not sucking completely, and Elizabeth Banks' version of Press Your Luck is a picture-perfect example of this. Whammy! The All-New Press Your Luck, the first reboot of Press Your Luck from back in 2002-2003 is so much better this new show but both are nowhere as good as Peter Tomarken's original show. This being said, I'm also glad Greed was never picked up for syndication as it also worked better as a weekly primetime hour-long show but Fox should've definitely let it continue beyond July 14, 2000. Lastly, I think Chuck was the perfect host for Greed.

@Sean Montgomery it's right in the video. David did get terminated. Which reminds me, they did a Tournament of Losers episode after the 2/18/2000 episode. David wasn't in that but he was brought back for the 3/17 episode. Annoyingly enough, the Losers episode consisted mostly of "losers" who originally left with $10,000 in Terminator money
