I love everything about this. The Gold Standard for creative knife throwing videos. Apartment throwers unite. Of course, here in New York City, the battle rages. I am almost in tears with joy to see my friend, a cancer survivor rise to such eagle heights with the killer angle of target to thrower. And, to be a positive influence on a sport. Who knew apartment knife throwers were such bad asses? I did.

Just a word of caution: throwing lightweight items such as skewers or toothpicks puts a lot of stress on your joints (elbow) - it's just like you can break a bow when you dry fire it (i.e. shooting it without an arrow). *Don't overdo it.*

  • @danielturchan4092

This is way easier than I thought. I watched this and learned how to consistently throw them in a target from 2 meters away every time without fail after 4 hours. From 4 meters my success is about 75%. From 5 meters like he did I get about 50% success rate… and this is with the wooden skewers, I practiced with those first so going heavier would b easier… I also taught myself backhand throwing, so u throw like he did and then on the way back you also throw, it’s fun. Thanks for the video, I love this new skill.

I have a thing of bamboo skewers I’m like mmm let me try this. Mind you besides the occasional screwing around I haven’t thrown knives in 15 years at least. After about 20 throws I figured out my distance, and best I’ve gotten is 3 sticks and managed to knock the yips right off the skewers lol. And gain a sore ass arm like damn it’s been years!! Thanks Adam for this it was inspiring and fun!!

Adam, can you throw an ice hockey puck? Maybe at a helmet? I'm sure you can easily throw sidearm like a frisbee, but it would be cool to see you throw it flipping end over end and see if you can still hit target. I used to be a hockey goalie and that puck does weird things in the air (like the "Knucklepuck" in Mighty Ducks #3)
