goku once upon a time could not hang with pre-crisis superman, he has since, broken into the level of being a multiversal threat, who's speed may scale to those who move faster than instant movement, meaning he's not only easily faster than superman, he's stronger than him too, by a longshot. Let's not forget superman's "Sneezing a galaxy feat" is a long since debunked feat because he didn't do this himself, he had breathed in magical dust that supercharged his sneeze through magical means, which is outside help. superman doesnt even break the bonds on infinite speed casually, he needs to speed up and build up towards doing this. Which doesnt make logical sense given it should be impossible to "Work your way up" to infinity. but then again, none of pre-crisis's feats make any sense so thats nothing new. (granted i dont see death battle including these things on account of how poorly and even at times, maliciously they upscale superman and downplay goku's feats, even going as far as to intentionally edit their own already highly lowballed calculations in the first death battle of goku v. superman to make sure goku appeared slower and weaker than superman. go look at it for yourself if you dont believe me)

Wish they did this with different versions of Superman like silver age, new 52 etc would’ve been way more fair to Goku and would’ve made for interesting fights to see which versions of Superman Goku could defeat and which he could not

I think covering the conception of Superman actually did help me appreciate him more. Kinda learning where did he come from from a creators standpoint was really interesting.

If you really want your mind blown, superman was created by Jewish writers, who's God yehweh was derived from the canaanite God El. Superman, Kal-El, last son of the house of El. They knew what they were up to when he was created.

@@marshalleldridge3416 its a little more complex then that, there is a cananite god called 'elhm' also known as elohim. but 'el' means 'god' in hebrew, the Reference to supermans house being 'el' meaning god is likly intend by supermans writers but saying that the god 'elhm' is what yahweh is derived form is a much more controversial subject. although it is ture that 'elohim' is a title given to yahweh meaning god, its used as a title, not a Reference, this was also ture of 'baal' which is a title and a god. it more likely they knew the 'el' part and how it connencts to jewish culture, but i dont think they wanted to make a statement about the canaanite god 'elhm' or had that type of deep knowledge. there also Reference's to the jewish folk story 'the golem' in supermans story.

Superman technically can accomplish every feat from every era Post and Pre-Crisis scale to one another, and Pre-Crisis and new 52 including post flash point are the same characters. Thanks to events like rebirth. Superman was always this powerful and technically could accomplish all if his abilities.

When they use from both the best beats they are both 1-A Boundless but Supermann has much more broken feats and can fight longer and better and has higher IQ and can time travel at will. You can give Xenogoku that too caus of the timepatrol feat but is like a bit diffrent. I think they make both massiv hype and let supermann win.

As for Superman, they just like to bring up his pre-crisis feats because they actually aren't that far beyond his current ones, but they will probably just use current Superman. They didn't actually use pre-crisis in their last rematch and it changed absolutely nothing about how unbelievably OP Superman is. In other words, if anything, they will be using a composite Goku and NOT a composite Superman, to give Goku every advantage he could possibly have. And he's still gonna lose because Superman is Superman no matter what version of him you look at.

I hope they add the “hey it’s me goku I heard you’re strong” line💀

Yeah, buddy that's not how it works. I can be a single writer and write a character who's power is always being stronger than any version of Superman anyone can conceive. Having many writers doesn't mean that he will inherit all their powers, unless you use a composite superman. Generally, each writer has their own take on superman, creating many different versions of the character.

If you just create a character and claim he's more powerful without any prior establishment, people won't respect the character. Sort of like One Punch Man, he's earned some respect after his feats, but I still wouldn't put him over Goku who we've seen constantly improving instead of just getting smacked with the stronger than everything label. In a sense I understand the main comment and it's why I've lost respect for Comic characters. Too many rewrites, of course they're stronger than everyone, if their powers keep getting rebranded or upgraded with every single rendition.

"I've become so powerful that the concepts of weight, temperature, time, speed and distance have become meaningless to me" that's how powerful modern superman has become. So while Goku still gets blitzed by other characters Superman legit breaks physics

The fun thing about a lot of Superman's greater feats is that they don't even make sense enough to power scale. Like, you physically just couldn't sneeze a galaxy out of existence, no matter how hard you did it. Smell brownies outside the atmosphere? Apparently his sense of smell doesn't work by molecules actually coming into contact with his olfactory nerves, then. Golden/Silver Age, especially, is like putting Goku up against a straight gag character.

I'm still waiting for the day when they introduce one of the most powerful character to ever exist in all of fiction to Death Battle... Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo. His feats are so mind-blowingly OP that not even calling him a gag character does him any justice since if you take him at his 'best' like DB claims to do then he'd by definition be completely un-killable.

Superman is gonna win. He once instantly transported himself from the Andromeda Galaxy when Lex Luthor (in his new robotic power suit) blasted him away. He said to lex afterwards that Weight, Space, Time and Gravity all have no concept of meaning when it comes to Superman.

In an arc that involved him being briefly depowered and needing to learn how to box from Mohamed Ali, Superman was given only a few hours to get ready for an alien tournament. He took Ali to the fortress of solitude and revealed he had a time/space chamber in there that would allow them to get in months of training within hours.

I don't think that's as good a match up as you think it is. Sentry exudes yellow sun energy (don't know if its scientifically yellow or just colored yellow) so superman would just be powered up the whole time. Admittedly the sentries reaction times are almost prophetic but I'm not convinced he would do any better than goku.

Not quite accurate. They did get cheated out of millions, that much is true, but after the release of the first Superman movie and a massive PR campaign, DC awarded Shuster and Siegel a yearly stipend of $20,000 in 1975, which was equivalent to roughly $115,000 a year today, and gave them credit as the creators, if not ownership. So yeah, didn't get what they deserved, but fortunately weren't penniless.

@@AhmOOO not really. The publisher of Action Comics 1 took ownership of the character. Jerry and Joe spent the rest of their lives struggling to make ends meet. One of them ended up working less than minimum wage in a post office and the other went legally blind in a nursing home. To my knowledge, their descendants are still fighting for legal ownership of Superman. It’s really a tragedy.

So really they ball parked it and even low balled his power like they do most anime characters that aren't their favorites. They will do the same for Goku as they did in the past. Making the fight less interesting. The last two times they used Goku being stupid as a main point in him losing. Showing that he wasn't able to use battle tactics at all. In the manga it is different especially in the Granola arc. So really I don't see them showing that either. So really this video is just to get everyone hype over nothing. Think of it this way. Why make a 3rd round and announce it as if they know nothing of these two characters but they already know the winner as they said Superman will always win. So this 3rd round is pointless.

This Superman is gonna be Infinite Frontier Superman which canonically a combination of every previous version of Superman (Pre-Crisis, post-crisis, new 52, rebirth... Etc) all in one. So that will mean that this current Superman they're using canonically did all this feats and he have all his versions' powers combined No way Goku is beating him. Not even SDBH Goku (wether Xeno Goku or CC Goku)

Superman’s entire point of being is the antithesis of almost any other hero in fiction. For him, it’s not about getting stronger to win fights, it’s about being able to fit into a world where even the slightest mistake or tiniest bit of rage could kill and destroy everything. Google his “world of cardboard” speech as an awesome description of this. That’s why the best Superman stories aren’t the ones where he punches the big beast to death. If it’s a punch up, Superman always wins. But if you can take the character and explore what the impact of being Superman has on him, like Red Son, Whatever Happened to the Man of Tomorrow, All Star Superman, etc, you get a MUCH better and more interesting Superman, but I digress Superman CAN be beaten, but it’s more by magic, manipulation, treachery, those kind of things. If it’s a one v one punch up, he wins it, because limitless strength defines him, but his story is about not letting the power that defines him shape who he is. And Goku is the 1v1 punchiest boy around. I love Goku, he’s an amazing character. But Superman has beaten tons of Goku-likes before, but has also lost to a room full of lamps. Or a room full of gold rocks. Or a room full of Kry-yknow what Superman has lost to many rooms. Stay out of those. Point is it’s not the kind of fight Superman would lose, and Superman is not the character Goku can overpower. This is why he can punch a hole in reality, but still would’ve died to a plant that gave him good dreams if not for Batman and Wonder Woman saving him; (and if Mongul wasn’t a colossal moron)

To be fair not many characters would even dare fight Superman, and Goku isn’t stupid, he can probably tell that Superman is insanely powerful and yet he still wants to fight. Not many characters can do that.

I’m not exactly big on the superhero genre, but an unstoppable force using their power for good because it’s the right thing to do and they want to do the right thing will never not go hard.

@@Savagewolver Super-man as a symbol is good to believe in and be at peace. But as a character, he is badly written. Just a mary sue deus ex machina who doesnt have to train or overcome or improve himself or lose. That actually translates to a very boring character.

Don’t forget that he’s one shot the world forger and the forger’s multiverse. His feats are all over the place, but at his core he’s ultimately the symbol of hope and kindness

there were hero's before 1936. Clark "Doc" Savage Jr. was 1933 and is one of the direct influences for superman share a name several powerful abilities and both have base in the Antarctic. I believe the Green Hornet was before the Phantom too.

Superman and Goku gets a third rematch, Sonic and Mario gets a rematch, but Doomguy and Master Chief is left in obscurity with their old side scrolling crap match?! Doomguy VS Master Chief!!

It's not really a fair fight if they're factoring in every Superman continuity at their best, because different comic writers come up with different powers and different weaknesses for the same character, while manga writers are solo and have one single continuity, generally, that they stick to. They really should just be taking current Superman continuity vs. Canon Goku. Otherwise, this is going to be an uninteresting wash.

Ik how powerful comics Superman is… But why use regular anime goku when they can use: xeno goku, capsule corps goku, kid goku who broke the manga panel, 100 year timeskip goku, game goku, movie goku, goku who fuses with the audience? Like there’s so many powerful versions of Superman and the picked pre crisis vs normal anime goku.

@@c.k.7072 From what I understand, they are using Xeno Goku. Or rather, Heroes Goku; which I think is at least similar. (I don't keep up with DB's expanded universe so I don't really know what the difference really is, just that Heroes & Xeno are related somehow.)

@@GiftOfKnowledge-np9vg no they’re using the latest goku which is dragon ball super super heroes which is normal anime goku. Because in there videos they haven’t mentioned any feats of goku from xeno goku or game goku or capsule corps goku. They only use anime feats

@@c.k.7072 In fairness we've only gotten one video focused on Goku, which is a 5 (technically 3) minute preview that goes over his abilities in roughly chronological order (which better fits Dragon Ball's story than what they're doing with Superman). Of course they haven't gotten into any feats from Xeno Goku, they haven't even gone over Super Saiyan yet. Meanwhile on Twitter they outright mention using Super Dragon Ball Heroes; which, and I checked, is based on the Heroes timeline instead of being related to the Gohan movie.

Whats make superman OP is that the creator put every imagination of max potential power/ability into him, while Goku need to Trained very hard mostly according to the enemy/battle he encounter/ed to grow. Basically superman just able to do it, without training, while goku need training to do it. it really come down to the imagination of the people who put them toe-toe, in the first DB of goku v superman, They state superman is limitless and while goku has but he can break any of his limit. if Goku limit is fighting character without limit, can he break that limit?

Why are we back here? We all know Superman is going to win for a third time

Super solar panel vs space monkey man. Regardless who wins, it's still gonna be a good fight.

I remember reading a comic where Lex's team got a camera working that was fast enough to basically equal the speed of light, and Superman was still just a stretched out blur on the film. And that was him just moving from place to place on earth, not even trying to fly to other galaxies or anything like that.

With Superman's few feats mentioned in the trailer, Goku's fate for the third time is sealed. What I'm excited about is the animation. 😅

These feats are abstract nonsense and mostly irrelevant to combat, escaping infinity means literally nothing as it cannot be quantified nor applied to battle and nobody care if he can become a doctor in 5 minutes, ChatGPT is a doctor in a millisecond, it won't beat Goku lol. It's all a bunch of impressive sounding fluff.

​@@juanmaidana3421 I think Death Battle confirmed there using Xeno and Heroes for Goku don't think that helps but it most likely puts them at even speeds at best.

I’ve grown up enough from the last fight. I used to think the better character was always the stronger one. But realizing that wasn’t even remotely true, I’ve cared less about the outcomes of the fights and just enjoyed the fights themselves while learning about characters I’ve never even heard of. Enough time has passed between this fight and the last to justify it, and DB’s writing has greatly improved as well.
