I can attest to slippery elm and marshmallow at the same dosage for cats as you described in this video and very easy to get and fairly cheap. You can also give it over a prolonged period with no problems either.

My one kitty is on that every day. Poor guy was hospitalized overnight to get cleaned out. I think it's due to stress. He was a stray tom cat (now neutered and indoor/outdoor and he stresses about EVERYTHING! If you wash his face (for eye goobers) you can't catch him again for about 2 days....🙁

Not a fan of OTC, but I've tried slippery elm, etc. It has not worked so I'm going to try this. Thank you Dr. Jones.

I have 1 small yorkie 5 pounds hadn't pooped in days. I tried olive oil, then this. The miralax worked but took time & had to keep doing it. I sprinkled probiotics on her food and it worked better, and keeps her regular

I'm going to try the Miralax. My yorkie is 2 lbs and now she is straining to poop. It likes a droplet of poop mixed with water

@@elviarossalarasati4326 1/8 tsp/day to keep regular, but depending on the severity (and mine was extreme) we went up to 3/4 tsp/day at times, with the vets approval. And to clarify, it was 100% psyllium husk, powdered or extra fine. You don’t want them to taste it or feel it, if possible. They consumed it best in their wet food at the first feeding of the day. Thank you, Doctor. I’m caring for an abandoned stray unneutered male. I think he’s lived on the street his whole life. Once I was able to trap in and paid the vet $2k for a complete check up, shots and X-rays. The cat got skinny as a tail. His report came back that he was super healthy- so they thought he had a tapeworm. He’s back to a good weight again, big appetite, will come in to eat/sleep. But his belly is now hard as a rock. I’ll try the miralax approach. Thank you for your expertise and help.

I have to take this every day so I have some on hand and I have a kitten that I think she’s constipated so thank you for helping her .

I've tried so many other options. I can't get him into a vet because mine closed and no one else was taking on new clients so I hope this works. He's been eating wet cat food with a bit of olive oil and water in it but no results. I hope this helps, otherwise idk what I'm going to do.

Either is OK. It will mix into soft cat food or into their water. You could mix it in water and give with a syringe or eye dropped. Hope that helps. ❤

@@melissadeloach8503 That may work on some cats, but my Patrick DOES NOT like any type of canned cat food even when it's swimming in gravy. I ended up using the syringe with water and Miralax and forcefeeding him and he surprising didn't fight me but was very amenable to it. Now, what I had to do was boost that 1/4 tablespoon of Miralax to 1/2 tablespoon once I saw it wasn't working. It wasn't until I increased that dosage that Patrick started pooping like his regular self. It may be because he weighs 12 pounds. He's a pretty big cat.

@@charlieparker5678 Oh good, glad it worked out. He is only the second cat I've ever heard that doesn't like canned food. Just found out I need to increase the amount of Miralax I give my cat. She hasn't pooped in days! Otherwise she acts like she feels okay. Maybe I'll go on up to half a tablespoon. Vet's office said it can't hurt them. Thanks for letting me know!

My personal suggestion is add powdered taurine to your cats wet food with a little water mixed up well. Also look up natural remedies for cateracs on Google and KZread. There's lots of info on the subject. Your cat seems super young to be having such problems with her eyes. Perhaps not getting enough really good vitamins and antioxidants in her diet. Taurine is critical for eyes and heart in cats. Please feed your cat a high quality cat food. Especially their dry. Solid Gold Chicken and egg or Origen Adult/kitten dry cat food very good quality. Also bottled/purified water Very very important. Tap water full of chemicals that are very bad for our animals. Their small size just can't handle the amount of Floride and bleach in the tap water. Purified not distilled. Hope the best for you and kitty.

Restoralax is what he's showing and it works really well. You can buy it at most grocery or healthfood stores, even Costco has it.
