The Opportunity Card Visa Requirement at a glance: 1. Basic requirement: German language skills at level A1 or English language skills at level B2 as well as at least two years of vocational training according to the rules of the country of origin. You must also have sufficient financial means. Proof of this can be in the form of an employment contract for a part-time job (up to 20 hours per week), for example 2. If you are not older than 35, you also get two points. German language skills at level B1 are also awarded two points. One point is awarded to applicants who are not over 40 years old and for a previous stay in Germany (at least six months). You must provide documented proof of this. Previous stays as a tourist do not count. 3. One point is also awarded for very good knowledge of English (C1), reasonable knowledge of German (A2), or if you apply for the Opportunity Card together with your spouse.

@@portiaditlamelo5895 Hello, Yes your spouse can apply for the opportunity card visa if He/ She has the required qualifications, but that will be completely independent of you, I’m not sure links with Germany stated in the requirement also means having a family member residing in Germany, it states prior visit to Germany. It might be best to choose a unifying route of relocation since you are already in Germany, re-union takes a while but it works later

Hello, you’re welcome. I’m not sure the probability of granting you the opportunity card Visa is guaranteed if you apply without having any of these skills needed in Germany, another thing you can do is if you are able to get a Job in Germany with the skill you already have from your country of residence , then you can apply for a Job visa.

Hello, you’re welcome.. I'm glad you found this helpful, I think what you mean is can IELTS replace B2 in english language, to answer that I dont think it can replace it, if you check the internet you would see how to get a B2 certificate in english language but pls make sure the certificate will be acceptable by the german embassy. And secondly the requirement is either a B2 level English, or A1 level German, so if thats the question you were trying to ask,, YES! your B2 level english can replace the A1 level German. And about the funds, your bank statement is among the documents you will take with to the german embassy during your visa application, you need to also ensure that the money is left there if there will be a need to confirm it, OR if when you apply for the visa, you've gotten a parttime job from Germany with a minimum of 20 working hours per week, then you can present your Job contract as an evidence of financial security for your period of one year stay in Germany

Hello, That is not true for an opportunity card visa, you can only proof that you have a family member who can take care of you, if you’re coming for a visit visa, and with a visit visa you can only stay in Germany for a period of 6months after which you’re expected to return to your home country.
