Just a small trailer maintenance tip, trailers will a wood deck needs to have the wood treated so that it doesn't rot as fast. I live in the Missouri Ozarks and my 14 year old trailer sits out in the sun, rain, snow and in the fall lots of leaves. It has the original deck and is still in great shape. About every two years I treat the wood with a mix of used motor oil and diesel fuel. I make the mix 50% of each. You can apply it with a paint roller, brush, or sprayer. I use a brush myself and usually apply 2 to 3 coats. This mixture is way cheaper than the commercial wood stains and sealers and lasts a lot longer. Just run across your video and subscribed. This is from a 70 year old man and am glad to see a young man with the git up and go that you have.

For a young guy, you really got a good head on your shoulders. I wouldn’t be surprised if you reach 20k subscribers by the end of 2019. Take this off season to pump out great content before spring. What you do during the winter business related. Our mowers stop mowing but our minds keep moving.

I’m starting a lawn business this year and for me personally I could never buy a open trailer. It is going to be an enclosed trailer. One big reason for this is due to my neighbor had his ATV stolen off his property. He came back from a ride to have lunch with his family and when he came back out, it was gone. With that being said, I will make sure I get equipment defender because I don’t want anyone but my employees & myself to be able to take things in & out of the trailer.

Wyatt's lawn service I was told: if I can swing it, always buy new. And I think I’m in a position that not too many people are in when starting a business. My parents always told me growing up to save & invest money. Because I did that, I’m able to take money out of Stocks to buy what I need to get started & buy a high end enclosed trailer.

My man! The very first one you reviewed in this video I actually just put on “lay-away” from Tractor Supply. I absolutely 1000% agree with you about not financing and not going into debt! Lay-Away is an excellent alternative and a good way to motivate yourself while working towards a goal. Anyways Tractor Supply has a good lay away policy. They actually just dropped the price down to $1099 because they discontinued it for a newer model coming out so definitely worth getting 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Those are way nicer than the trailer I started with a boat trailer I paid $50 for after mine was stolen and I needed one quick because my boat sank. Then I found out it wasn't stolen the marina moved it because it was in the way of some workers. Then I put a flatbed on it to haul atvs then I started my lawn buisness and started with that but upgraded a month later. I just took it to the scrap yard and got $80 dollars for it so I'm a happy camper.

You can usually find 5 by 8 and 5 by 10 trailers exactly like the ones you show for $600 and below around my area slightly used on craigslist. Also i hate the round tube sided ones, makes mounting racks and stuff hard.

I agree but it seems that a good bit of people don't really know how to get good deals on Craigslist. So if they are planning to buy new, this would be a cheap alternative to the ones at dealerships. Tube top ones have some racks too. Just gotta google them 😎👍

Its cheaper than a lot of people might chose to start with. Plus I said in the vid that they do on big sales on father's day. 5x8 is $600 or maybe $650 and the 5.5x10 is $1100 or $1200
