Lyrics:
I didn’t mean to cause a scene
Whoa whoa whoa
You can’t stop your eyes wandering
Whoa whoa whoa
And I’m just simply existing
Whoa whoa whoa
But you can’t handle my je ne sais quoi though, no
Oh what a world, they got all this clout
But one little look rings their bell
Oh what a world, it’s somehow my fault
That boys cannot control themselves
Apologies on behalf of Eve and Cleopatra
Helen of Troy and the ladies after
We got the boys acting all bananas
Sorry that we distract ya
Men keep the hold of control
W-Whoa whoa whoa
Presidents around the globe
W-Whoa whoa whoa
Got all of the nuclear codes
W-whoa whoa whoa
But they can’t handle décolletage though, no
Oh what a world, it’s somehow my fault
That boys cannot control their cool
I’m pretty sure as Commander-In-Chief
I’d follow 14 karat rules
Apologies on behalf of Eve and Cleopatra
Helen of Troy and the ladies after
We got the boys acting all bananas
Sorry that we distract ya
Da da da da
Da da da da da da
Interesting how we give all the power
To the ones who play victim to their nature
Interesting how we give all the power
To the ones who can’t handle an hour
keeping their belt buckles bucked
Apologies on behalf of Eve and Cleopatra
Helen of Troy and the ladies after
We got the boys acting all bananas
Sorry that we distract ya
Uh uh uh uh uh oh
Sorry that we distract ya
Da da da da da da da da da
Sorry that we distract ya

I love the way they don’t have Gil act outright jealous or blame her for the student teacher affair or anything, like he does react when he sees the teacher and her talking together and does try to flirt with her but it almost looked more like he was worried about her and just actually wanted to spend time with her! I think that’s such a healthy way to portray a potential relationship between two young people in that sort of situation, and it shows that he cares more about her than her reputation and the social expectations put on young people at that time, especially the girls.

doesn't seem like a realistic 50's scenario . not to mention this is a prequel that happens 5 years before the main movie , so i ask myself, what happened to all the non white students and their families according to the director of this tv show ? did they all just disappear in a puff of air ?

@@agenttheater5 no you don't understand my point . in 1954 all schools were segregated in the USA ... this show is not realistic of the times and it asksthe question, if this happens 5 years earlier than the original then why are evryone in school tgether as if history never happened ? that's what i meant , i didn't ask for a dumb excuse by some avid fan

@@eglantinepapeau1582 No, it's not realistic, but this isn't a history lesson. Flying cars aren't realistic and neither is singing and dancing in classrooms. It's entertaining. It's not for everyone. But why is diversity the problem? I've watched plenty of shows that are 99.9999% white in current times, and the only people who mention it (and rightly should) are the ones without representation.

@@jennfischetto the first one was not a history lesson either , but nevertheless with a realistic setting . the breaking into singing and dancing might not be realistic but that's because the movie genre is musical . There is no problem with diversity as i said, why not make the tv show in the late 60's as a sequel where mixed schools are in place , then this would not have to been so distracting? the songs ,cast and plot would remain the same (diverse) . don't try to put me in a box or put words in my mouth, that's not how an honest argument work ... The show went woke then got cancelled, it's not the first it won't be the last, trust me , the people you should blame are those who made the bad decisions that cost all those diverse actors on this show their jobs, not to mention all the staff working on the show 😐 instead of being manipulated into seeing racism everywhere you go and turning against your peers maybe you should use your head instead when trying to find the source of a problem . the people who make and cancel these woke shows are the ones with the power .

Tell that to men who have been cat-called before, but get ignored or ridiculed if they say anything because it's just a compliment, or it's not masculine to reject advances.
