Can you please share the picture of 'Transparent sheet'. I don't know how it's looks like.

Very informative! I am currently using a plastic sheet over a blank paper and experimenting with sketch pens as they are pretty same as a pen rather than a thick marker. It works well but what works best is those luxor colour pens, they don’t Have any specific name but they are just like stic pens and they write just as if you’re writing with a pen. It is of course erasable. So that might be useful for people reading this comment.

Hey! had my GRE at home on 5th October 2022, my proctors were pretty cool. I scored 337 and 335 in my power prep practice tests from ETS, but I had skipped AWA. was expecting 330+ on my actual GRE exam, but knew I would mess up in AWA, since I had given zero hours for that. so 4 days before the exam I started with AWA section, watched videos on KZread (Greg mat video were most helpful), after I was a bit confident with AWA, I timed myself for AWA section with random prompt from ETS, have to admit it was too hard to finish AWA essays in 30min, got no time to proofread my essays. luckily on my actual GRE, my AWA went good, since I had already written essay 1 time before during practice, I knew basic strategy, if I had given enough time for AWA could have perfected my strategies, but it is what it is, right? what I was not ready for, was lengthy exam, in practice tests I just attended MCQ questions, never gave AWA and MCQ on one go. I felt I did well in AWA, commensurate with the time I had spent on AWA prep, but AWA section was too tiring, that affected my verbal and quant, I could not focus on verbal, I had so many strategies I could not use(since i lost focus), it was too daunting. Quant was fine, maybe made some silly calculation mistakes. Advices from myside would be that: don't fall into false impression that actual exam will be of same difficulty as practice tests, I found my exam difficult compared to practice test, maybe it was AWA which was too demanding. Next, in your actual exam, if any of the sections go bad, don't panic, it will be detrimental to next sections, say 'all is well' and try to focus on next sections. Next, give enough time for AWA, don't make same mistake I did! You need at least 1 week if you are already fluent in English. Just because a strategy works for others does not imply it will work for you too, it takes time to fine tune strategies you find, so spend enough time for AWA and don't ignore it. finally, make sure you use strategies you know in actual exam (I did this mistake in verbal), don't use calculator for simple calculation in Quant (will eat up you time), and read questions properly. PS: raw score V 158 Q 167 total 325, these are my raw scores, was expecting 330+ but scored 325, this was the price I had to pay for ignoring AWA I guess. To look at the bright side, I did well in AWA (expecting 4 or more), sacrificed my Verbal marks but still 325 is a good score. Deep down I still regret for not focusing during Verbal, I used to get 90% of hard questions right during practice weeks, so I go into speculative mode and ruminate "what if I had focused? how much would I score?". Maybe....maybe my scaled official score will be better? I found my exam a bit on the hard side, so still there is hope :) waiting for official scores now. I know I typed in a lot and its verbose, just wanted to share my exam experience and tips. If you have your exam close by, don't worry you will surely do well, All the best! :)

Hi Deepankar. You cannot apply without a passport. You'll need general ID proofs to apply for a passport.

One question to ask you as a beginner- is it allowed to have a white paper if I need calculate anything at the final test, or they provide it or it's not allowed. Hi, I am in India and I am gonna take the test in 2 weeks. I have a passport for my ID. The only issue is, it was made in 2015 and I was 15 yrs old then. Because of that, I didn't have a official signature so instead I just wrote my name in capitalized form instead of the signature. Other than that, all of the requirements r filled. Will this be a issue? The only other ID that I have is pan card. But this was made recently so the signature is different on this (it is in cursive instead of capitalized form)

Hi Rutvi, You can use a Mac® computer, with Windows installed. Must use Chrome or Firefox browser. You can get a friend's laptop, or install Windows on your Mac.

I have some questions about Gre at home test. 1. Do I have to use speaker separately even if my laptop has built in speaker. 2. If the seperate speaker is necessary, can I use bluetooth speaker? Please answer me :)

hi..please answer two question..1st-what internet speed is required to give the exam? and 2nd-How much data will be used to give entire exam?Because if we use mobile hotspot to give exam so will it be sufficient,as i get 2gb per day...please please rply

you will need high speed internet connection so that you do not face any glitches and enough internet to last for 3-4 hour test.
