Especially after Sepang 2015, the relationship between them has changed a lot. There had been an episode where Marquez tried to shake hands with Rossi, to make peace, but he refused. Since after 2015 , their relationship has degenerated and has been based on indifference...

Will see in the future if Márquez can beat young riders at 36 years old like Valentino Did. That day we can compare Márquez with Rossi, but I think that's impossible.

not impossible, but almost impossible of course. All of Rossi's rival were retired much younger than Rossi. Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Stoner all of them already "gave up" for their career much younger than Rossi. Since 2007 I remebered ppl already said that "the Doctor's career was done" as Stoner rised and dominated in 2007, but damn it still so far from the end of his career, 2008-09 he come back on top again. Of course haters said Rossi can't got any champion title in his last decade but don't forgot this "old" hero still can managed to be runner up in 2015-2017, amazing for late 30 years old age rider.

Rossi DID NOT 'punt marquez off' in Argentina. He was a victim of his own arrogance (not for the first, or last time). Although 93 is a masterful rider, he's also slyly dirty, & hopefully will win no more than a couple of races in the future. He certainly does not deserve another championship. FOREVR46 🤘

All haters should feel proud to have witnessed something so historic, honestly that MM and VR competed at such a level during those years is something worth seeing, something that is very difficult to repeat in this way, something very similar to When Messi and Cristiano competed in the Spanish League, we are lucky to have had such a high level of competition with these two men. I am Spanish, obviously Marquez is from my house but I don't compare him with Rossi because they both went down in history for me. Currently the one who has the most titles is Rossi, I'll stick with that but only one title behind mm and surely it could have been more but I think his personality plays tricks on him and he takes a lot of risks, that risk also makes him be such a special driver. What is it, a pride to see tremendous pilots

Rossi's book : "what if i had never tried it" .. if he had never tried it (i.e. never moved from Honda to Yamaha) then he would be an undefeatable rider (more than marc 2013-2019, BUT minus BULL-RUSH, a signature technique by marc (mar-quest is over). and motogp wouldn't be that interesting, because Rossi's dominance with Honda would be boring. thank to the doctor's iconic movement, and the doctor's iconic "medicine" (for Yamaha, which at the time was underdog, suffer "illness"), motogp become super interesting. I used to hate rossi but after I saw him disrespected by Honda, move to Yamaha, proved rider is more important than bike (yes, proved, that's why marc is really respected by Honda, thank to the doctor's indirectly, bitter-teaching) and won title with Yamaha in 2004-2005, won title again 2008-2009 after sinking in 2006-2007, never gave up, fought again and again, the peak was 2015, I saw, I witnessed how a great rider with his talent playing around like a moving obstacle, after he got no chance to get world title, to disturb the one who fought with all his might (for the last time). such a great rider that could determine the result of the championship, at the same time, such a shame to disturb other who struggled for his last time (because no one can fight time, age). thank you, vale from : your ex hater who became your fan. Disitulah hebatnya Rossi dan ga bisa dibandingin dengan mm. Kalo Rossi ga pindah mungkin bisa sampe belasan kali jurdun, tapi yg beliau inginkan justru menaikkan popularitas motogp itu sendiri. Padahal yamaha saat itu kira² kayak suzuki tahun 2019, berat untuk bersaing. Makanya banyak fans rossi menantang mm untuk pindah tim, karena mau 20x pun jurdun di satu pabrikan tetap ga lebih hebat dari Rossi (paling ga itu menurut fans Rossi). Dalam hal ini bahkan stoner bisa dianggap lebih hebat dari mm (kalo mau dibanding²in sih), bahkan stoner mampu jurdun di pabrikan yang seumur² belum pernah jurdun motogp (special banget ni orang). Kalo ane pikir² sih, mm mampu jurdun di pabrikan lain, kayak Ducati, ane yakin mm mampu. Tapi kayaknya dia lebih milih jalur "siapa banyak²an jurdun", ya ga salah juga sih. Tapi bagi fans MotoGP, it would be boring era, again. Kayak era² sebelumnya sebelum ada Rossi, ada satu pembalap dominan dan nonton terasa membosankan. Marquez didn't attack Lorenzo one time, but when Pedrosa was quicker than both of them in the end, he instantly attacked Pedrosa, his own team mate, very aggressively. In the world of motorsports, hundreds of riders will come and go. Many don't get to the top, not because they are any different than the others but because there was a few among them who had that little bit extra, "something special" some say. Pure talent, hard work, unrivaled charisma, sheer will to win, whatever it is. All the riders have it, but there's always one who stands out from the rest, very few go on to become legends, who leads decades of fans behind their back, win numerous grand prix's and of course become multiple World champion. Everyone from every decade has their hero and rightly so, as they are all the very best in what they do. But in the generations to come, there will be a name that won't be locked away silent in the vault of the hall of fame, but a name that will buzz around the paddock for many years to come, will drift within the fastest of corners, roar in the cheers of millions all over the world and ultimately fly high in a never fading cloud of yellow smoke and when that kid asks what it is, I'm sure his father will say that he is the greatest motorcycle rider ever to grace this earth, His personality infected all those who followed him, He was the king of kings, faster than the fastest, none were like him, and will never be, His name ....... was Valentino Rossi.

A key difference between Rossi and Marquez is Rossi is tough but clean and fair with his moves while Marquez doesn’t have the respect for his fellow rider and bashes them about like a bully. Both are great, but I fear Marquez will cause a disaster for someone else one day riding selfishly as he does.

Thank you for great compilation @motogp However the greatest rivalry between the two champions shouldn't be mentioned without Sepang Clash. If it wasn't in top 5, where is it in MotoGP statistics?

lorenzo himself said in an interview with dazn that after argentina marc's only objective was to not let rossi win the title, so if you had any doubt there's comfirmation straight from the horses mouth

If it wasn't for Rossi's luck (rain in at least 2-3 tracks dominated by Lorenzo on qualify and free practice) and the bad start of the season Lorenzo would Ve won with like 30 points more than Rossi.. not to mention Marquez and his many crash in that season.. shut ur mouth both of them were faster than yellow clown

@@grahamjenkin2882 was he a fan? I knew he come for me, never have we seen some one race to make someone lose....VR's mouth when MM rattled his cage. Marc offered to shake hands - someone said No there is no problem - then retires and says there was a problem. VR again.

VR46 the best of all times.
