For those who only look at the Western perspective, keep in mind that India shares a border with China and Pakistan, two nuclear hostile nations with which the United States had a friendly relationship until recently. Blame Russia is not going to end this war, but it will end our only credible source of defense. We have fought several wars over the aforementioned enemies in the past, and the west was very quiet.

Plus, every person in Indian army is made to train and serve in every type of harsh terrain and environment (India is the only country in the whole world that has every type of geological terrain and environment)..... India has also stopped taking financial aid from any individual country including US and EU.... India takes loan only from IMF that too directly..... India has removed every bit of obligation from every country very slowly but surely..... Plus, Indians are extremely passionate and zealous about guarding borders and fight for independence..... In China, that reflex for patriotism is conditioned and constructed by the government but with Indian it is self-compulsion..... Psychology is war matters tremendously..... Give India a much better competitive edge, and I dont get why people dont see this, but Indian built machines, like your cars for example are better than Chinese made ones and Russian made ones, and CAN compete on the world stage but fail to do so in numbers, its really strange and India should really push into those markets, as that would help axpand the military block.....

Nothing. It's a stupid idea. If you are talking about the Relationship with USSR and India. Ukraine was a part of then USSR. That was the time were we got help. So you can consider Ukraine in the same manner how you consider the Russia. And if you are talking about Ukraine's stand against India, they have the moral obligation as they decided to be a nuclear weapon free nation. They have the moral obligation to be a part of freedom and sovereignty because they partitioned their country from USSR and became a new nation called Ukraine. Western people and Americans are well cooperative than any other countries. If you can't cooperate with your neighbours or your neighbours can't corporate with you. It is the problem between you and neighbours. Not the mistake of western people. Because there were wars between them but now they are managing and corperating each other. And that's their achievements.

Otherwise there are chances of new alliance with Russia, Iran and China. It would be an another war. Sometimes Talibhan would be a part it. @@scatterns2 well might not out of good will but on strategic point of view they do care. They can't afford to make india an enemy ( or have poor relations ) as almost whole world is against them. No body can deny russia is strong and they have advanced tech. So relying on the dependence we can gain much from them as compared to west. As if we got alined with west then we will become their slaves or tools. Just like many NATO countries have to follow what US says. Being cared by both west and russia can help india in a better strategic manner. And about Ukraine they also know they can't stand against russia much longer and russia can't be defeated even if NATO came in, as they have nukes. Final result will be talks. So instead of pushing civilians against army and gaining sympathy out of it, they can just surrender and have talks. Right now only winner is NATO as they are able to weaken russia due to this war. So Ukraine must understand instead of being a tool they can just end it all. They have to pay a price but elongation won't make it less. But many will die meaninglessly, as after talks rulers will shake hands. And they will just become numbers.

Typical India, not even a real democracy complaining about everything........ In bed with Putin for weapons, crying at US because US wont sell them F35s, India is PISSED with US, get over it, so pathetic, be better people if you want NATO as your buddy, if you WANT to buy our Western F35s etc, be better people, and let your people ALL vote, dont stop 160 million people from voting and then complain about NATO its utterly pathetic........ More than 160 million people in India are considered "Untouchable"-people tainted by their birth into a caste system that deems them impure, less than human. Human rights abuses against these people, known as Dalits, are legion. A random sampling of headlines in mainstream Indian newspapers tells their story: "Dalit boy beaten to death for plucking flowers"; "Dalit tortured by cops for three days"; "Dalit 'witch' paraded naked in Bihar"; "Dalit killed in lock-up at Kurnool"; "7 Dalits burnt alive in caste clash"; "5 Dalits lynched in Haryana"; "Dalit woman gang-raped, paraded naked"; "Police egged on mob to lynch Dalits". "Dalits are not allowed to drink from the same wells, attend the same temples, wear shoes in the presence of an upper caste, or drink from the same cups in tea stalls," said Smita Narula, a senior researcher with Human Rights Watch, and author of Broken People: Caste Violence Against India's "Untouchables." Human Rights Watch is a worldwide activist organization based in New York. India's Untouchables are relegated to the lowest jobs, and live in constant fear of being publicly humiliated, paraded naked, beaten, and raped with impunity by upper-caste Hindus seeking to keep them in their place. Merely walking through an upper-caste neighborhood is a life-threatening offense. Nearly 90 percent of all the poor Indians and 95 percent of all the illiterate Indians are Dalits, according to figures presented at the International Dalit Conference that took place May 16 to 18 in Vancouver, Canada. Crime Against Dalits Statistics compiled by India's National Crime Records Bureau indicate that in the year 2000, the last year for which figures are available, 25,455 crimes were committed against Dalits. Every hour two Dalits are assaulted; every day three Dalit women are raped, two Dalits are murdered, and two Dalit homes are torched.

Without that they cant vote, period...... The constitution prohibits religious discrimination against its citizens, and guarantees all persons equality before the law and equal protection of the law. Delhi-based lawyer Gautam Bhatia says that by dividing alleged migrants into Muslims and non-Muslims, the bill "explicitly and blatantly seeks to enshrine religious discrimination into law, contrary to our long-standing, secular constitutional ethos". Historian Mukul Kesavan says the bill is "couched in the language of refuge and seemingly directed at foreigners, but its main purpose is the delegitimisation of Muslims' citizenship". Critics say that if it is genuinely aimed at protecting minorities, the bill should have have included Muslim religious minorities who have faced persecution in their own countries - Ahmadis in Pakistan and Rohingyas in Myanmar, for example. (The government has gone to the Supreme Court seeking to deport Rohingya refugees from India.)

@@HKarts_ No need to provoke China. We have unresolved (permanently) issues on border areas with Pakistan (POK) and China (Aksai Chin and Arunachal pradesh) which means the upper hand will try to arm-wrestle the opponent. Which is why China wanted to bag in all our neighbors by investing big on their lands via tempting interest loans as baits -- Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, and some countries in the NAM forum.

@@Iamnehapandey to what end? To provoke China? It does the same purpose as does NATO to Russia for Ukraine. As long as the QUAD operate in India's confidence, its ok, else it is a key to destabilize the region.

Russia stood with India multiple times at the UN.India never saw such behaviour from any NATO country. So India cannot morally go against Russia.
